Nes

Discuss.

I got a NES for Christmas, and i love it! So much fun. Almost all the games have sleeves and the instruction booklet. Only some of them don't work, and the system came with 6 random games.

GAMES I  HAVE:
Dr. Mario (Works)
Skate Or Die (Works)
Some weird chinese roleplay game (Works)
Mario Bros./ Duck Hunt (Present from my dad, dosen't work)
Klax (Works)
Conflict (Dosen't work)
Silent Service (dosen't work)

GAMES I WANT:
A working copy of mario bros/ duck hunt
Mega Man I-VI
Any LGN game (i like playing bad games)
Mario Bros. 2 (and 3)
Winter Games (same reason as the lgn games)
Excitebike
Punch-Out!

I have 2 second-hand video game stores, by the way. Before i got mine, i looked at one and most of the games were about 15$

Discuss teh NES.

The AVGN makes playing bad games seem so fun  tongue

I love the NES's music. I'd get just the sound chip of one to mess around with.  tongue

Re: Nes

My cousin and I went to the local flea market, he bought an NES with SMB and Duck Hunt, and a couple of other games too, while I bought a Super Nintendo with F-Zero, Star Fox, Mortal Kombat II, and Doom (and an original Game Boy, woot woot). He actually got really jealous when I plugged in my Super Nintendo and saw how awesome it was compared to NES, and he's like "Waah let's trade" and I'm like, "Ha ha no way."

All this NES talk makes me nostalgic, how about a Game Boy thread? :D

I don't have an NES, but I have a boatload of games on virtual console.

If you want something to do while Scratch is down, check out tbgs.tk! It's the new version of the (closed) Scratch TBGS, run by Scratchers! I'm going to spend most of my time there, anyway.

Re: Nes

That's very cool that you have one! I'm planning on picking up a SNES sometime because there is this place near where I live that sells old game consoles.

Re: Nes

I feel like funny abuses of the terms "epic" and "'murica" are being committed here.
(What made you think selling old games was in any way, strictly American?)

Anyway, I sort of prefer watching bad movies to bad games.

There is an old trade-in game/movie/book shop near here with an NES for like $50 dollars I think.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Because there are no NES games being sold in Britain. From my experience.

Re: Nes

I used to use my dad's old NES, I haven't seen it since we moved though. I remember some of the games though, there was some Rambo game and Bubble Bobble (love that game).

Man, you're lucky!
I would buy an NES if I didn't just spend my money on Twilight Princess.
Besides, I'd think I'd buy an N64 first.

Well, one day my dad went vinyl shopping with me. We traveled to this small store near my favorite breakfast spot in town. The dude had vinyl, DVDS, and he had almost games for every console. I saw the NES cartridges, and asked my dad if i can have a NES. His face lit up instantly, And said he would buy me one. So he got one for me a while later with a few games.

I was so happy. My friend has a SNES, so we're kind of even.

@NeilWest: You can find small stores that sell games. Most small CD stores usually have secondhand games.

Mega man 5 is awesome i have it on my Wii virtual console. The only thing I hate about it is that after 1 year, i can only beat Gravity man.

There's like barely any second hand stores in my area, so pretty much most of my retro gaming needs come from eBay. There is a flea market though and that's pretty decent.

To be honest I do use emulators but I also like having the real thing. I don't have a real NES but I do have a Super Nintendo and I'm loving that.
