Dude.
You should only bump once or twice a day, and that's if the topic is low on the list. :p
And ya, that's not a glitch, it just takes a while (Sometimes a long while) for your user icon to switch over.

Yeah, bumping once or twice a day is really the max! As CheeseMunchy said, old icons don't always update very quickly on the site, which I think is to do with client side caching, though I could be wrong! Either way, your icon should be fully switched soon enough
