I have the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy.
You know, the one with the original five Adams books in one big heavy volume.
Except it's on my Kindle. :P

I have read all 5 books and seen the movie. The "So long, and thanks for all the fish" thing at the start of the movie is a bit annoying.
Don't think!

This is officially the BEST trilogy (didnt really consider number 4 part of it ) ever. also 42.
It's actually an inacuratly named trilogy. There are 5 books although there is an unofficial one called "And Another Thing".

42. I LOVE this series. I am on no 4, So Long and Thanks for All the Fish. Unfortunately, 3 & 4 have swears in them.
There's swearing you might not have picked up on in the first two
like in the second one when he's taking all the scrabble tiles out of the bag or whatever
and it spells
S H and the last to letters are left ambiguous
or the fact that there is a morally ambiguous woman on a suggestively named planet

Hm, my father has "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" downstairs but none of the Hitchhiker's Guides.

I'm the only person in my entire family who hasn't read that book yet. I want to, though.

Only if you go near people who have read them!
Which isn't really a problem for me but my school is some uncultured cretins!

My favorite book out of the series is likely Mostly Harmless, I also like the original.

Read Ultimate HHGTTG because I was persuaded by a friend, they're great books and I'm gonna go get And Another Thing.
