Nick is sooo annoying here. This is what they do:
1. Only air Spongebob episodes from season 6-9 on weekends
2. They'll air a episode that they haven't played in a long time, and air it OVER AND OVER again in the next few days.

Anyways, i'm gonna find Aaron Springer. Where does he live anyways? And i've seen a picture of him.

But it all truth, it's a great episode. Plus my friend and I sing that "That's what friends do" song all the time.

The reason Band Geeks is so great because it's not really meant to be an episode looked at purely for humor quality. It's the greatest episode because of Squidward's real personality: his drive to succeed and get his talent recognized, and how dependent he really is on the folks of Bikini Bottom to make it happen. He realizes that he can't just do it himself, just snap-bang, and cannot judge his partners too easily, because you never know, they could really pack a punch. Band Geeks is an episode with a moral: do not judge a book by its cover. It conveys this moral very effectively. Sure it's got funny moments, but that's just the help.

The Camping Episode does not hold any such qualities. It's an episode looked at for humor. Cheap humor that is. It's just slapstick. Squidward getting violently mauled. It's a really poor episode for what its worth. It has no moral. I liked it when it first came out, but over the years I've found that it's actually not living up to what people say it is. Plus I hate the Campfire Song Song.

Now at age 13, I look at cartoons now for morals and for effective and inventive storylines that are unique. When I was young, I just saw humor, humor, and humor. Bahahahahaha. That's not me anymore. I find that for a cartoon to be truly good is for it to have at least a few episodes with morals and an authentic and feel-good storyline. But it can't just simply have a subtle moral like that, it needs to be unfolded in a unique way. Hooky is another episode that does this. Like, you know the term "playing hooky". Well Bob and Pat literally played hooky. Band Geeks is a rare cartoon episode that plays out a moral in a different way, exploiting characters and allowing to truly release their full personas and potential. All the Campfire Episode shows is that Squidward is stubborn and impatient. Band Geeks shows that Squidward is a good hearted fellow underneath who just wants to follow his dream, but ends up finding he can't do it himself and grows to show an appreciation for the townsfolk.

Kabam. Now, my argument is completed. I hope you now see the truth and proof. You can call me a fanboy for defending this so much, but I just could not let this slide. Animeboy, I dare you to make a reasonable and justifiable counterexample.

but I'm also never going to dissect a Spongebob episode for it's brilliant characterization

All the characters are just cut-outs of archetypes
Krabs pinches is money, Squidward is the artistic hipster who wants to succeed and be  famous, Spongebob is the lovable doofus, Patrick is the slapstick idiot, Sandy is the smart scientist, etc.

TEH FINAL CHICKEN WRAP (get the pun?): While this episode isn't as bad as people say it is, this episode is down right awful. Spongebob was annoying, (THAT STARE.), Squidward was a bunch of hate, and Mrs. Puff was all like "you sit with spongebob now you can be boating buddies buddies derp a derp" and the jokes were awful. I mean, the costume thing and shrink ray. And AARON SPRINGER STORYBOARDED IT. Dude! You did Tons of old favorites such as Pizza Delivery.

The only pro about this episode is i like the title card music.  That's it. Avoid this episode.
