The Latin Language Official Topic.
I noticed there were no Latin Official Topics - unless I missed any. 
Also I'm not sure if this should go in Reading or Playing, mods can feel free to move it.
So, Salve fellow scratchers who know the Latin language. Here you can discuss Latin in all its coolness!

Unfortunately I'm struggling with learning the language, and am trying to write a super short story just for the sake of learning Latin better and getting it more inscribed into my brain but so far I think my story is pretty bad in terms of language - I'm sure it's very grammatically incorrect so I would want some help from someone who knows the language better. On top of all, I forgot some stuff during winter break so I feel really bad :C
Here's what I have so far:
Aigidius Agapetus erat tristis. Is ad eius domo ambulavit. Is lapillum in stagno jactavit. Cur Aigidius tristis erat? Amicos eius erant laetorum ludans * eo – praeter una amica, Silvia. Silvia semper curavit pro Aigidius, et ea fere sororis erat. Aigidius ambulavit ad domum Silviae.
“Salve, Aigidius!” Silvia respondevit.

I know very little, nihil novi sub sole. Nothing new under the sun, and finis coronat opus, the end justifies the means. Nihil novi I learned from Fallout New Vegas, and the other is my schools motto.

Hurr. What I wanted to say was Silvia always cared for Aigidius, and was almost a sister to him. >_< Any tips on how to do that? GUH my Latin is terrible, I get tangled in all the declensions.

I'm taking foundations of Latin (the class before Latin I) right now. We just wrote our own stories in Latin. Some of them did not make sense but they weren't completely weird. Latin, I must say, is much more reasonable and efficient than English.
Our favorite sentence is a simple one I came up with: Porta errat. I can just imagine someone trying to walk through a fence that's wandering around. "Hey, come back here!"
