Me and my daughter are just starting out with Scratch. One little problem I have is that some things in the interface will be transparent if I have OpenGL effects activated on my Ubuntu/Linux desktop.
Here's a screenshot.
Anyone else run into this?

Hi, alex789.
Scratch is not yet supported on Linux, but thanks for reporting this. It sounds as though the Squeak Virtual Machine you are using is not properly setting the alpha to make all the pixels opaque. You might try reporting this to the Squeak community to see if anyone there has ideas about how to work around it.
You could also try running Scratch on top of WINE, although I realize that is not ideal.

Is there a scheduled release of Scratch for the XO laptops? It would seem to be an ideal platform for the educational goals of Scratch.
