What are mods ?
I don't mean the community moderators .
I mean "black panther", "BYOB" and others .
Please explain me .

"mods" are short for Modifications of scratch 
So like scratch 2.0 a version of scratch made by other people except it has more features and blocks.

Mods stands for modifications.
They pretty much add extra stuff to the original thing.

Scratch 2.0 is actually a new version of Scratch (made from the ground up, rather than from modifying 1.x), made by the same Scratch Team that developed and maintained earlier versions.
