It is very hard to deal with reviews that are eather directed only to you in a bad way, or simply because the rater says parts of the game is bad. I got a project reviewed once, got horrible feedback, even though I thought I did a good time and I also spent a long time working on it. I felt a hurting feeling, and I almost cried.
I understand it is the risk of the person that wants to be reviewed, but some projects that you think you did very hard and good on, may be the beginning of long or short time depression. I personally think freedom of speech has gone too far (or some people think it is nothing) and I am very dissapointed.
If you have comments, please make it nice and not demanding or scolding. Thinking about this topic reminds me of the bad review. Thank you for understanding.

Well, you could report the bad review and have a moderator take a look at it and see if the review was wholly constructive or absolutely destructive.
Keep in mind that the Community Guidelines calls for users to be friendly and offer constructive comments if and when they can. That is because sometimes constructive criticism can prove to be helpful from time to time. Calling for a ban on all review topics because you came across one possibly destructive critique is too extreme of a move because it deprives users from getting helpful feedback, especially from those who request them.

Well, you could just request critisism from people my making a topic, not get unexpected feedback.. I think some people think reviews are mean and hurtful only to themselves, other people wont know why.

My review shop is rather critical. You have to read what the reviewers says before you get it reviewed. No suppport.

If you truly worked hard on it, and it is satisfactory to you, that's all that matters, and you shouldn't get upset if someone else doesn't like it. But getting your project reviewed is a good way to measure how other people react to it. If you only want to make a popular project, scoring high on a review is a must. Otherwise, it's just a luxury, not something to get upset over. I'm afraid I can't support.

No, they shouldn't.
These people want honest opinions, and it's not a "review" if everything is sparkling.
If a project is bad, or subpar, and someone asks for it to be reviewed, they want honest opinion. What people shouldn't do is go in thinking that they will have amazing reviews.

When you ask for a review, you want to know how others see your project, If every review was just "you have good scripting and drawing and everything and nothing is wrong with it", what do you get from it? People ask for reviews to improve their projects, like if you had a review "Good scripting, needs work on the visuals", you know where to go. Sure, some reviews may just be pointing out flaws, but it's still guidance.

the purpose of a review is to get feedback. would you rather have people tell the truth, or lie to you and say you've made the best project in the galaxy? i think it's a great way to get an honest and constructive opinion.
that being said, it is only an opinion, and from having run a review topic some months ago, i can safely say that a bad review is never a personal thing. it's simply necessary because you have to keep everything in perspective: to show what games are "good" and what aren't as much.
just because one person did not like your game doesn't mean it is necessary to ban the review threads. i would take it as a challenge to eventually make an awesome game.
