Best. Series. Ever.

Seriously, in my opinion, The Reichenbach Fall is the best episode of anything ever.

It was great, but the ending felt like cheating for suspense.

More British and closer to the original (ironically) British story.

Not really. That's more like a standard crime drama series, but Sherlock is more of a thriller series. They're also more like movies, actually, since they're 90 minutes long and generally a lot bigger scale than the average crime drama.

No still on Series 1.

And how come British television calls seasons "series". It's kind of confusing at times. :P

Yeah, the three modern Sherlock Holmes things are kind of confounding.
Robert Downey Jr.'s is set in the correct time period but he's a ninja master.
Sherlock is set in modern time but his character is more accurate to the books (though updated a bit)

And then Elementary was like "lolol all that is important is that he is smart"

Why do American television calls Series seasons? I think it's due to the fact that we have, like, 7-10 1-hour long episodes, rather than have a season (see what I did there) of 22-minute episodes.

We generally have 16 episodes a season when we have hour-long series.
They are still seasons though!
(They're 44 minutes with commercials though)

@banana114: Elementary? because my description is based on my blatant disregard for it as soon as Watson was female.

Does what?

Watson can't be a woman, man.

it's just

Unnecessary romance and such. The jokes in Sherlock are enough (and maybe too often in themselves, to remain funny).

Banana, how many times a day exactly do you make unnecessary remarks about either your girlfriend or girls in general?

But yeah, I like the series.
