MCEdit isn't dangerous, right? Because I just installed it, but I feel like its going to screw up my worlds. :S
MCEdit isn't a mod.
It can't mess with world files.
You're fine.Are you joking?
The sole purpose of MCEdit is to edit world files, it's safe but if you do anything wrong you'll mess it up.
It will only mess up your world if you do something wrong and press save.
Once, I was playing SSP and I went to the Nether. When I went back through the portal, it bugged and teleported me to some random place in the middle of nowhere and it took me over and hour to find my house and move myself back there in MCEdit. I didn't want to lose all that hard work!

Smooth stone slabs are a thing of the past. I'm sorta sad, because they were good for futuristic stuff.
But they were replaced by Nether Quartz So it's fine, I guess.

What the heck? Why would they remove those? Those were like, one of the most used types of slabs! >:C

I wish they made an actual stone slab and kept the old ones too, I actually need a decent looking stairway in a mine that looks natural.

Plank slabs.
If it's free-standing, add log supports.
Looks fine.
I love using wood in construction. In fact, my newest house is made entirely of wood.

Nonono, the stone slab that is entirely smooth when stacked has been removed. You cannot get them in survival.
Normal ones still exist.

I'm pretty sure wood doesn't grow underground, it wouldn't look natural.

You can take wood underground.
Like log houses. You can build them underground IRL.

But it would look weird a lot of the time.

The same way New York is completely naturally made?
I want something that won't stand out in multiplayer, wood is not an alternative for stone and it never will be.

It's not the craftable one, it's the one with double textures. Nether Quarts and those slabs have very simular textures however, and there are loads of IDs so..

Don't imply that I ever had a life. I wanted one, once. Then I realized that to survive middle school, I would need no life.

Just found a Portal gun mod. :DDDDD
Just? You can pretty much think of anything, (hopefully not anything evil ) and find it somewhere in a mod. For example, I heard of mods with shrinking potions, extra parkour (spelling fail) skills, spears, ropes, sailboats, airships, and mutant mobs.

No, the actual slabs themselves are gone too.

Is there an easy way to mess with the language files, preferably without touching the .jar?
There's a language file in the .jar. You'll have to go find it (it should be pretty easy).
EN_FL started! The trouble is that I have to manually select the language in the options.txt. Any help with getting it to display in the language menu in MC?
