On the list, that I've seen/read/etc.
Harry potter - Okay, but slightly overrated.
The Hunger Games - Heck no.
Percy Jackson - uh... Refer to Harry Potter.
Disney/Pixar - no opinion.
Star Wars - no opinion.
Pokemon - no opinion.
You're seriously gonna make me choose - This is me.Lol but harry potter overrated? Harry potter will never be overrated! I bet you it will be replaced by many other fandoms to come but it will still be remembered (I hope that made sense)
Two words for you: The plot. It's a fatal flaw in the Harry Potter series. Sure, the series was great when I was younger, but even then I could tell that the plot was weird. Now, it just strikes me as completely unimaginative.
You think the plot is unimaginative?
Maybe you don't get the whole in medias res thing? Or some other component of the story?
Twilight: nope
Harry potter: not a part of the fandom, but I liked the books
The Hunger Games: not a part of the fandom, didn't love the books, but I understand how flippin' hard it is to write in present tense.
Divergent: don't even know this one
Delirium: ^
The Mortal Instruments: ^
Matched: ^ but I don't think I would like it
Percy Jackson: nope
Disney/Pixar: love but not fandom
Maze runner: don't even know this one
Game of Thrones: like it, but not part of the fandom
LOTR/The Hobbit: calling those who like LOTR a "fandom" is actually demeaning
Star Wars: who doesn't?
Beautiful Creatures: don't know
Doctor who: the old ones were good, but the new? pass; also, everyone only talks about the new ones
The Avengers: ew
Homestuck: too convaluted but good music
Hatalia: don't even know this one
Madaka: ^
Pokemon: that's pokémon, and all the new ones are awful

1. How is it demeaning to call LOTR a fandom?
2. Most of my friends hate star wars I love them anyway though
3. You haven't heard of Divergent? Nooooooooo! It's huge but apparently it's fanbase doesn't come from people on Scratch.
4. I haven't even read matched but I know what it's about, watched book chats on youtube and heard it's annoying as ever so maybe you're lucky you don't know it.
5. I gotta agree with you on Twilight.
6. Sorry, I don't know how to put the accent on Pokemon. And yes old ones are good, new one's are bad.
6. It's not that hard to write in present tense. If you're used to writing in past tense then it's very hard to transition but you get used to present tense after a while.

What does in medias res have anything to do with whether or not it was imaginative? Okay, well, it's not entirely the plot... Whatever. Here:
Wikipedia wrote:
By the time of the release of the fifth volume, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the books began to receive strong criticism from a number of literary scholars. Yale professor, literary scholar and critic Harold Bloom raised criticisms of the books' literary merits, saying, "Rowling's mind is so governed by clichés and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing."[101] A. S. Byatt authored a New York Times op-ed article calling Rowling's universe a "secondary secondary world, made up of intelligently patchworked derivative motifs from all sorts of children's literature ... written for people whose imaginative lives are confined to TV cartoons, and the exaggerated (more exciting, not threatening) mirror-worlds of soaps, reality TV and celebrity gossip".[102]
Yeah. Not much more to say.
