Two words for you: The plot. It's a fatal flaw in the Harry Potter series. Sure, the series was great when I was younger, but even then I could tell that the plot was weird. Now, it just strikes me as completely unimaginative.

Maybe you don't get the whole in medias res thing? Or some other component of the story?

The Hunger Games: not a part of the fandom, didn't love the books, but I understand how flippin' hard it is to write in present tense.

2. Most of my friends hate star wars    I love them anyway though 
3. You haven't heard of Divergent? Nooooooooo! It's huge but apparently it's fanbase doesn't come from people on Scratch.
4. I haven't even read matched but I know what it's about, watched book chats on youtube and heard it's annoying as ever so maybe you're lucky you don't know it.
5. I gotta agree with you on Twilight.
6. Sorry, I don't know how to put the accent on Pokemon. And yes old ones are good, new one's are bad.
6. It's not that hard to write in present tense. If you're used to writing in past tense then it's very hard to transition but you get used to present tense after a while.

but yes, the books are are amazing and the dude made up a language to go with them and all the fandom wants to do is roleplay

2. I have no idea, my friends are all girly and stuff. I'm girly too but not when it comes certain things so I <3 star wars 
3. I know it was a compliment    I wasn't trying to be miss know-it-all or stuck up or anything like that. I'm just saying that for me it wasn't hard to write in present tense. I love THG and it's incredibly well writen whether it was hard or not
