I don't really care, agreed.  Java has been dead for a long time; however, if there's an articles about how to "hack" it, people are going to do so.

People already know. Hackers do not use Scratch as their primary info channel.
I posted it so that Scratchers won't be attacked by viruses using this bug.

like, none of that applies to me. (works under Google Chrome at least under XP, etc).

Yes - in the web at least. People here have mentioned Minecraft, Android, etc. but there's no way one would be able to, say, exploit this fault in Android because it uses it's own Java VM.

The requirements for a successful exploit are also very specific: Chrome under XP, etc.
