Hopefully, tomorrow, I'll see if I can find that other remote control car, take it apart and get the two motors from it. Then I'll try and begin putting the web shooter together at last.

Good luck!

Re: Ridiculous Inventions

Well, my dad is currently changing around one of the rooms, so my house is quite a bit too cluttered to begin taking apart an R/C car (which is incredibly messy as I discovered).  tongue  So instead, I wanted to stick the circle of cork I made onto the end of the motor, but I couldn't find the double sided adhesive tape I wanted to use, so I couldn't do that either. But I was determined to do at least something productive, so I talked to my friend about how to make the tiny hooks (because I've realised that it would be much much too expensive to buy them). He did help me and give me a nice amount of advice, but here's the start:

(on Skype)
Me: So I want to make them myself. Which leads me to ask, How do you suggest doing that?
My friend: A brick wall. And a head.

I thought that was very very funny.  tongue  He has zero confidence in any of my projects actually working.  tongue

Well anyway, tomorrow I'm going to hopefully go to the shops and buy that tape I wanted (and perhaps some super glue), glue the cork circle to the end of the motor, and see how well it fires a dart when I just have a flat surface as the other side.

Buy them by the piece from the site.

For the web shooters? R/C car motors will be perfectly fine, and surely considerably more powerful than Lego motors (I presume you mean the motors used to drive the wheels of Lego car models).

Well, Lego things I have made (cars are especially compact) always seemed pretty heavy so a motor moving it around.

Oh, ok. That sounds quite good. I might look into that. How expensive are they?
