As i've noticed, a lot of projects on the fornt page are just art, and in top remixed (which was first made so people could make GOOD projects that people could add on to) projects are just those type where you remix and sign. and also, you might want to make it so when someone exports a sprite, it loses it's scripts. that way peope couldn't copy scripts without taking credit, but still use it for art requests.

I use to use importing alot in my Lunar com project. if it didint import scripts id have had alot of extra work to do. Although id rather suggest this: in every block that is downloaded, there is a 'hidden' code that automaticly remembers who's account made that block. if the uploader sees a block with someones name on it, he gets credit.

That's a pretty cool idea! Kind of like DNA for projects!

Nice Idea but then wouldn't the programming of the DNA for projects take time?
Yay!This is my 200th Post!

Just what I was thinking.

I wouldn't think so

The DNA could be basically attach a username to every block. I don't think it's that hard - for a good programmer, at least.

if you made it so that if you export a sprite it loses it's scripts then it would be extremely difficult to make sequels. its not a very good idea.

how hard would it be to repregram scripts? tedious, yes, but easy. would you rather have people copying projects without taking credit or that?

no it most certainly would not be easy, this tends to be the size and complexity of scripts for every sprite that i make http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/fantasytales_test/571582 look at team1 especialy! so maybe it would be easy for you, but frankly this would take me hours rather than the seconds spent importing a sprite. so i think a better idea would be the dna for the blocks thing where every block had your username on it. essentially it could be a variable that shows on every block that is set to your username that cannot be changed. i think a better idea would be to be able to add something in the top right hand corner of the project saying something like, in my case (a fantasytales production) with a miniature picture of the original authors choice. one of two things could happen, either it could only be changed at the beginning of the project, or to change it you would have to type in a password.
