Hey! Thanks for joining.

I can join. I have lots of experience as a programmer, but almost none with Pygame, so I'll just have to keep studying. Until then, I can program anything without graphics.

Okay thanks! This is a learning experience for me too.

Even more so for me! Hang on, is there anyone who actually knows what they're doing? Orcacat has a plan, but as far as i've come across, that's it!

Well, we can write the pseudocode collaboratively, then I was hoping Gravitation would write the code, but alas, he has not been here for several days.
P.S. I recruited pythagoras66 from here, but he seems to be a little confused...

Ideas added:
1. You start off in a cave, not remembering anything. You realize that Team Rocket captured you and is going to turn you into an evil shadow Pokemon. You try to escape.
2. Power ups: berries (HP and energy), temporary invincibility, raised speed, raised attack.
3. Final boss battle is against a shadow Pseudo Legendary.
4. Frenzy mode where you have infinite Energy and you go around shooting targets.
5. Options GUI made in Tkinter including sound FX on/off, music on/off, sound level, difficulty (start at "easy", by beating a difficulty you unlock other difficulties), level select (20 levels, then 1 boss level for each difficulty)
6. 3D ish title screen
example
P.S. Gravitation coded that...

Gravitation, you're actually quite good at making music! Why didn't you tell me?

What type of game is this going to be?
Are we helping to design Pokemon X and Y or is this a side-story?

I replied on FTW, so, neither. By the way, I realize you are confused. This is just a game I wanted to make (and needed help from others). This is NOT official.

I write music too, but it's a bit weird. It involves a lot of rhythmic white noise, warped acoustic guitar (classical guitar to be precise), the odd bit of saxophone, warped bits of other tunes, sometimes some keyboard, and audacity's computer generated pluck effect.
To put it straight, my music is probably to weird to be of use, but you might want it, or some of the more natural stuff maybe.

I've already made the music for this game, I'm just making it better currently

I'll write you a storyline, and i could add sound.
Can you help with the storyline?

Sure, how many levels do you want? Do you want it to be a controlled storyline, where you just go as the game lets you and you face what the game throws at you, or do you want it more like the pokemon games, the RPGs, in a loose storyline, where you have more freedom? I don't mind. Do you want stages or levels at all?

Hmm, good point. Well, I said earlier that I want 20 stages for each difficulty. But I was thinking to make it a short little stage. I'll reduce it to 5. It'll be like mario, with more freedom. You can train or keep going. There will be lots of areas in each level. The last level will be a boss stage then a boss. Could you submit pictures of level design? And could you find better enemy pictures? Use Scratch, because you can layer things (like in Photoshop). You could move an individual part or edit it.

You may wonder why I chose Metagross for this game. This is why.
"Metagross
Metagross has a large number of characteristics which are different from the other pseudo-legendary Pokémon. This is possibly due to how it is the only pseudo-legendary Pokémon that does not appear to be based on a reptile; rather, it is a robotic life form. This is likely why Metagross is the only pseudo-legendary Pokémon not to be used by Lance in any game, as he prefers Dragon-type and draconian Pokémon. In fact, it is the only pseudo-legendary Pokémon that cannot learn any Dragon-type moves.
Stats wise, like Tyranitar, Metagross focuses on power and durability, utilizing the most defensive type, Steel, to compliment its very high attack, high defenses, and relatively low speed.
Only genderless pseudo-legendary Pokémon.
Only pseudo-legendary Pokémon whose first stage of evolution, Beldum, cannot be caught in the wild in its debut generation (one is received from Steven Stone instead).
Has the highest base Defense of all the pseudo-legendary Pokémon.
Heaviest pseudo-legendary Pokémon.
Only pseudo-legendary Pokémon that doesn't share at least one type with another pseudo-legendary Pokémon.
Only pseudo-legendary Pokémon whose English name is the same as its Japanese name.
Metagross and its pre-evolutions have a catch rate of 3 where-as all the other pseudo-legendary Pokémon families have a catch rate of 45."
And I chose the name "Shadow" because of the game Pokemon Colosseum.
"As Shadow Pokémon
In story mode of Pokémon Colosseum, Shadow Metagross is used by Nascour and Shadow Tyranitar is used by Evice; it is notable that the two Cipher leaders have positions comparable to those of the final Elite Four member and Champion, respectively. Pokémon XD complemented the list of pseudo-legendary Pokémon as of Generation III by featuring Shadow Salamence (used by Eldes) and Shadow Dragonite (used by Miror B.). Another commonality is that all four pseudo-legendary Pokémon have Shadow Rush as one of their Shadow moves."
