I was wrong: It is two new games called Pokemon X and Y! http://www.polygon.com/2013/1/8/3850046/nintendo-announces-pokemon-x-and-y-for-the-3ds

I'm guessing that there will be new eeveelutions because they asked on their twitter, "How many evolutions of eevee are there?" even though it is obvious.

CAN'T WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER!

Excited, but the starters don't look all that good.

I mean it's just a fox, a frog and a... (what the heck is Chespin?) Also, looks aren't everything.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!! You won't believe how much I fanboyed when I saw the trailer.

K, so when I first pulled up my favorite poke-news-feed site, the first thing I saw was Kroakie. My initial reaction was, "What? They actually went with Generation VI?"

Does that tell you what I was expecting?

The legendaries are cool, but I really don't like the starters. Fenekkin is honestly the only good one.

And I am very disappointed that they got rid of pokemon sprites and switched to full 3d. Very.

I can't wait! The legendarys look awesome, and it's about time the series moved to 3DS. (I don't like the new trainer models though)

My thoughts personally are:

The legedaries are a mixed bag, the flying one looks like yet another dragon, but the Stag/Deer one looks cool and unique.

The graphics are beautiful, I love the cel-shaded art and it was about time for a step up from sprite models.

The starters are overall okay to me.

Chespin... looks odd, it is the first grass starter I'm not interested in, thought I do love calling him a Chipmunk-Kappa-Mole-Dragon.

Fennekin looks like it could be unique and cool, as long as it isn't fire-fighting, I'm happy.

Froakie is my personal favorite. I like it's appearance because it is adorable and I like frogs, so I want a super cool looking evolution. I'd like an water-poison or a water-ice but even a mono water is fine.

I am personally so happy and looking forward to gen VI!

Another note: For people who whine it changes too much, it is changing for the better, and needed it.

Yet another note: This STILL looks better than gen I overall.
