Re: What books do you like?

I'm reading Flowers For Algernon (Daniel Keyes) right now, but I usually like the more modern books. For whatever reason I can't read a classic without becoming extremely bored with the story (not to be stereotype or anything >.<).  My favorite books are Wintergirls, Speak, 13 Reasons Why, Lemonade Mouth, (it's nothing like the watered down Disney version) Zom-B, The Thin Executioner, Jo-Jo And The Fiendish Lot, The Hunger Games, Fat Vampire, The Walking Dead, Sandman, I could go on forever! Sorry, I couldn't remember authors off the top of my head. I'm in Chinese right now, so my resources are limited.

Re: What books do you like?

I love love loved Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series! Who's excited for the House of Hades? And the Hunger Games is amazing too. TEAM PEETA! If you're not on team peeta, i hate you. JK I DON'T!! I also really like the Mother-Daughter book club series which is an interesting change from the other books I've listed! Chick lit and action books. Any recommendations?

Tending to be into fact more than fiction lately.  Check out the 500s section in your library under nonfiction, there are good books there.

Re: What books do you like?

Recently I've been reading a lot of Eva Ibboston books. My favorite one so far is "Which Witch" it's about this sorcerer named Arriman and it's really funny! A book that I really want to read is Fire Bringer by David Davie Clements (I think thats the name of the author, I may be wrong!).

I've been into Douglas Adams and the Dilbert series, both are hilarious (though adult-orientated).

Re: What books do you like?

My friend recently read Les Miserables.

He said it was really good, but I didn't think I'll ever cook up the time to read it, since I'm an incredibly slow reader.

One book I highly highly recommend is Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Basically it's about a kid with a facial deformity. I'd say it's one of my favorite books of all time next to things like Ender's Game, 1984, Animal Farm, The Giver, etc.

I live about 2 hours away from where Orson Scott Card wrote Enders game.

Re: What books do you like?

Atlas Shrugged has been the most interesting and thought-provoking book I've read so far.
Although it is also the last book I have encountered.
