Bigfoot

I have noticed there isn't a topic for Bigfoot. WHY? WHY!!!!!!
And so this was born.

I love Finding Bigfoot. Bobo or Renae is favorite  my person on the show. Bobo is a crazy sasquatch-impresonnator, and Renae is the brains.
I saw a Bigfoot once. But I'm sure that if I tell about it I'll get flamed, so I don't want to. Yeah, I'm that scared.

If you don't think Bigfoot's real, please don't be mean! Say your opinions- but nicely.

Bigfoot question of the week(week 1) (first right answer gets a certificate I make and post: What is the name of the Bigfoot in the Patterson-Gimlin film?

EDIT: Well, I might tell my story. If this reaches 3 pages, and I haven't had to report anything.

You're going a little over the line. If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all. You're insulting the BFRO and every other Bigfoot organization, not to mention me. Please stop.

okay fine, I'll edit to just say "that bigfoot doesn't exist (and these people are mistaken)"

I guess. Or you could delete it and I'll delete my quotes. But that's still not very nice. And I'm sure it's "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all."

people have been searching for "a hairy thing with big feet" for a long time, and the best they've found is a blurry photo of a bear
I'm not trying to wuss on the "BFRO" or insult you or anything but it doesn't exist for goodness' sakes

So your saying I saw a 12 foot bear step out of the woods on two legs? Then walk back into the woods? In southern Ohio?

They're all over the world. They have been seen in Australia (called Yowie), Asia(Yeti, Abomadable Snowman, etc.), and just about everywhere.

Fun Fact: Yowies are more aggressive and ape-like than the North American Bigfoot. If you live in Australia, watch out!

eh

I'm fifty-fifty, actually

I believe in possessions, and believe that 15% of all bigfoot evidence is NOT faked, especially those upturned trees in Alaska

Overall, I would not be surprised if this thing was real

Re: Bigfoot

The only one of those you mentioned that I believe in is the Yeti. I think Bigfoot is probably a hoax, though. The Yeti is, according to one of the tribesmen of the people who live in the Himalayas, the Himalayan brown bear.

Also, interestingly, the regional dialect term for "bear" is "meti." It's been suggested that "Yeti" could simply have been a corruption of the word for bear, which I think is very likely.

Huh, maybe. Thanks for pointing that out! But how do you explain Native American cave paintings depicting a large figure, a smaller figure, and a small figure? I think they were Bigfoots, but everyone has a different opinion. Native Americans were not hoaxers. Sure, they did make up stories to explain stuff, but that's different.

I do not believe in the Yeti, Bigfoot, etc. etc. Sorry.

I think if it was real, we would have found skeletons, or bones, and yes ladies and gentlemen, dung.

I feel like there is no real proof. Just my opinion.

Actually, we have found poo. And lots of possible DNA, one from a poor Bigfoot that stepped on nails! I feel so sorry for that Bigfoot. S/he got nails in their foot and probably hated those people...

And it's completely okay that you don't believe. You were nice about it, and that's all that counts!

They're very elusive. We just found a lot of species in very populated areas. And they live in the WOODS.I mean, it's not so hard to hide there.

How do you believe in the insects? Have you seen them? How do you believe in 120 year old people? Have you seen them? How do you believe in alibino people? Have you seen them?

what if those "stories" are real? they're as valid a holy text as the bible or the koran or the torah or whatever you believe in
they're just not your belief and that's fine but be a little sensitive

I don't know about a lot of them, but here's one interesting example of that kind of thing. One time, they found a sample of hair which was apparently from a Yeti, and the DNA didn't match with any known specimen. But then when it was analysed again after the media release, they found that it was clearly from a brown bear and an Asiatic black bear. But here's the good bit: I think also according to the tribes-people there (or some source like that), there are actually two type of Yeti; a large type and a smaller type, and the Asiatic black bear is the large type, with the Himalayan brown bear being the smaller type. And funnily enough, that fits with what you said about there being different size ones in the pictures.

In another example, a mountaineer claimed to have had a face-to-face encounter with one, and actually killed one. And according to him, it's the Himalayan brown bear.

Also, just to clarify, these bears do walk upright a lot of the time, so that fits too.

Personally, I think that all makes perfect sense. I believe that the Yeti is not some unknown, strange, thought-to-be-extinct creature or anything like that. I agree with the explanation that, at least for most of the sightings and findings, some of the Yetis are Asiatic black bears and others are Himalayan brown bears, and the word "Yeti" more than likely originated from the regional word for "bear."

Well, I'm sorry I got kinda defensive. I get really defensive about Bigfoot and UFO's and stuff like that because people treat me like I'm insane when I tell them. But I really don't think I saw a bear. Bear's aren't like 12 feet tall. At least, no bear that should be anyone near my house. No bear should be in my state at all.

So basically, I hate it when people say I saw abear. I'm sure about what I've seen. I even named her, I'm so sure.

Yes, I think you should.

This might take a while...

I was walking out to the bus one beautiful autumm day. The sun was shining, the wind blowng just enough so it was comfortable, and  I wished I could go barefoot.
I was thinking about my little creek, and had been hoping I would be able to check it, but I hadn't been able. As soon as I turned my head, something or someone walked up a five foot bank as easily as I walked down the driveway. She- it was obvious- walked a few steps out of the woods, then looked straight in my eyes. It was eerily comforting, but I stood there terrified. She was at least 10 feet tall, bigger than any bear I'd ever heard of. She looked at me for a moment, then turned around and walked back in as easily as she had come out. I stood there for a moment, then ran to the bus.

I didn't go back in the woods for months. I was THAT terrified. I love the woods and everything about it!

I now know that Bigfoots are friendly. If they weren't friendly, I wouldn't be here right now.

This story freaks me out so much!
