Outwitters for iOS! I'm probably the only one on this entire site that's played it. Developer OneManLeft has taken out what's not fun about strategy, and put the most emphasis on the parts that are. Plus, fish pirates. Aw yeeeeah.

YES! BECAUSE FOUL LANGUAGE REMOVES ALL ARTISTIC CREDIBILITY!

I think The Hudsucker Proxy was pretty underrated by critics when it came out. There's also a lot of lowbrow comedies I like that aren't very respected in the film community (Austin Powers 2, Zoolander, Ace Ventura, Dodgeball).

You summed it up perfectly right there in your own post.
You could have explained your point in a nice, calm, non-sarcastic and civilised way. But instead you decided to make your point using insults (calling him snobby) and being overly sarcastic (goes without saying). And obviously, insulting someone and being overly sarcastic are bad. They aren't nice, and are, of course, very frowned upon by the majority of people.
Similarly, a song could choose to express its emotions and feelings using nice, non-offensive words. But it may instead choose to express those feelings through swear words, which many people find offensive and severely dislike hearing. Disliking a song because it has lots of swear words in it is a perfectly valid reason. And most songs that have swear words in them are rap, which is considered to be awful by myself and evidently Sausagefanclub (who's opinion completely matters due to the nature of this discussion).
And on the subject of rap, because I know you'll object, the amount of skill involved (which you bring up so often when mentioning it) has absolutely nothing to do with it. It's a very simple matter of people (myself included) thinking it's just an awful form of singing and conveying emotions. I despise listening to rap, and it's got nothing to do with how much effort it took.
Also, whether you agree it's better or not, conventional songs - the type Sausagefanclub was talking about - have much more of a claim to being called "real" music than rap, because of the very fact that they are the traditional style.

1. rap isn't singing
2. it's a type of music
it was formed by slaves and faced a revival in the '70s within the black community
in the '80s it became popular within the white community
pray tell, what kind of music do you like? because i can gurantee that rap is as traditional as that

I disagree.
Yes, artists can choose to express their emotions by using clean language sometimes, but I believe that sometimes it just can't get the point across enough; if you hear profanity in a song, aren't you more likely to pay attention and have some sort of reaction to that? In this society, obscenity may be used to effectively express intense anger, frustration, and other feelings the artist may want to stir up in the listener, and people will understand that.
However, I agree that many artists severely misuse and overuse swearing; it's not really necessary to drop an F-bomb every line. But that's kind of that artist's choice, and I can just go listen to something else. I don't find it such a big deal. You can dislike a song because it has too much swearing, but I don't think you should just disregard it right away just on that point; pay attention to how it's used and why.
I also disagree with your point that most songs with swear words are rap. There's plenty of music that's full of profanity but isn't rap: Prince, lots of metal and punk (like ASoB, Green Day, Metallica, Megadeth, etc.), Frank Zappa, Soundgarden, Pavement, of Montreal, Nine Inch Nails... the list goes on, and on, and on...
And there's definitely rap that doesn't swear. And some music with rap is very musical.
Anyway, that's just my opinion. If you want to steer clear of profanity, then that's your choice, but I think that you're kind of missing a lot just by ignoring music (and books, and films) with swearing in them.

With the exception of slurs, I don't understand why anybody would be offended by profanity. It's only offensive because we make it.
And like veggie said, a lot of the time swear words can be more visceral or impactful therefore more effective at conveying the emotions of what the musician(s) are trying to say. For example, how would "Surfacing" by Slipknot sound without swear words:
Fudge it all! Fudge this world!
Fudge everything that you stand for!
Don't belong! Don't exist!
Don't give a poo! Don't ever judge me!
And don't you fudgin' judge me
See? It just doesn't work. Using swear words doesn't indicate bad songwriting (although overuse, a la Green Day's new albums does); in fact I think using them well indicates quite the opposite and can often enhance a personality in the music.
And again, do we apply the same logic to literature and film? Life of Brian is arguably the greatest comedy of all time. It has swear words. It doesn't matter because it's a fantastic film. If you're too overly sensitive to handle swear words, then you are going to miss out on some of the greatest experiences in art of all forms.

(I think that song would fall under the category of overuse)

Manuals under rated? Pretty much all sports cars and race cars are manuals. So I don't really think they are under rated

It's offensive because people add them just to swear. And also, the usage of swear words would imply poorly written music. Well, at least my definition of it. The presence of lyrics implies what I define as poorly written music--repetitive, reduced focus on the actual notes, et cetera, et cetera.

Why would someone add swear words for any other reason? For that reason, why would someone do it at all in a song?

I don't get the point of it. I'm not old enough, but it just seems like you're memorizing turns and pressing down buttons. It costs tons of money to get gas, and who cares about looks? If it looks different, it's not like it's going to fly.(Unless that car company makes flying cars that only have one specific model...)

Songs only? What about real life? Oh my goodness. I hear those annoying words everywhere I go, and if I had the choice to have any superpower I wanted, the ability for all of those word to be muted or blocked out would have some serious consideration.
