How do you make links to your projects?

Hello! I don't know how to make links to my projects. Could you give me some advice?

To make links on the Scratch website (not the forums), just copy & paste the URL, and you're done! For the forums, you won't be able to post links till you become a scratcher, though when you do, just fill this out:

Code:

[url=URL goes here]What you want shown[/url]


Oh, and here's an example link to the scratch website and it's code:

Code:

[url=www.scratch.mit.edu]scratch website[/url]

Edit: Actually, as jvvg pointed out, links will work in the forums if they're to a page of the Scratch website.

Thanks, but one more thing... you say 'till [i] become a scratcher'... why am I not a scratcher already? I'm only (reasonably) new to this WEBSITE. When will I become a Scratcher? What are the priviliges of being a Scratcher? Sorry, this should probably be a separate topic, but anyway...

As soniku3 said, the stickies are full of nice information, though to answer a few:

Q). When will I become a Scratcher?

A). You'll become a scratcher after being on the website for atleast a month, posting 11 helpful comments, and having 3 projects. So in other words, if you're active, soon.

Q). What are the priviliges of being a Scratcher?

A). There are quite a few priviliges of being a Scratcher. For example, the wait between posts is dropped from 180 seconds to 60, you can post links, you can post pictures, you can have a signature, and I think that there are more, except they're escaping my tounge at the moment.

Go to the top of the page. Once you get to the web address, or the part you type in to say www.example.com (For this is has http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=112583) Copy that. (Edit, copy.) Then in the comments, paste. (Edit, paste.) Then click add.  smile  Hope this helped!

Thanks everyone for those replies. They've been very helpful. If, as you say, those are the requirements of being a Scratcher, then I should be one in ten days! And no, mollovespandas, I'm not related to Tim Burton. At least, not to my knowledge.
'When will I become a Scratcher?' is probably a good idea for a new topic. Anyway, thanks guys!
