How to avoid vialidate without saving?

You cannot yet save a project to the Scratch 2.0 prototype website. However, if you want, you can use the More... menu to open a project from your hard disk-- or download a project to your hard disk.

Yes you can. "Save Now" in the File menu. Also, it autosaves every couple of minutes.
