..,don't know if this a duplicate, but I'm surprised I never see it.
Ayway, discuss playing guitar here!
I got a new amp for christmas, and it makes solos SOOO much easier.
So far, I know the main riffs to most AC/DC songs, Queen, and am getting into solos! Right now I am practicing the chromatic tapping in the "Eruption" solo by Van Halen.

I have a Yamaha acoustic guitar and apparently I got some online guitar lessons for Christmas.

I play the guitar with uh a mediocre amount of skill I think. I've been playing for like a year and a half. I have a nylon string acoustic plus a Fender Stratocaster electric with an amp.

Been playing electric, acoustic, and classical guitar for 4 years or so. I don't consider myself good at it, though.
My rig consists in a bunch of cheap guitars, cheap amps and a cheap multieffect. I currently have no cables whatsoever. D: That's not much of a problem as I'm fine with jamming unplugged, but it means I can't record or play with effects. :c

I play all sorts of music with my acoustic guitar.

I have electric, with ZOOM amp.
I've only been playing for (seven?) weeks now, so I can't play all that well.

I've been playing for over 2 years now

I have been playing guitar for about 5 years now.
I'm not amazingly good but If I figure out what key a song is in I can play lead guitar to it (just recently I've learned how to do this).
I mostly play rhythm guitar but lately have been experimenting with percussion guitar.
Also my guitar is a Fender CD-60CESB.

Sounds cool! Is that like this? I've only recently been getting into the epic rock solo thing, since I was mostly a classical guitarist before.

Yeah, a little bit. I use this to learn some scales then once I know/figure out the key I play notes in the scale that fit with the vocals or that add to the other instrument. I'm not really good at it yet though. Lol. I'm self taught so there is no way I'll be as good as one who was taught for five years
Cool! Classical guitar is awesome

I got an electric guitar for Christmas one year. I never learned how to play it. It's actually sitting in the corner 7 feet away from my computer where I am writing this.

Place your finger on the second fret (box from the top) on the sixth string (closest to you, holding it the usual way, and the thickest string). PLay that string. Then play the one below that. Then play the sixth string without your finger. Play the sixth string with your finger on 2 fret. Play the string two below that one. Play the sixth string again. Repeat.
If you figured out the beats to that, congrats. You just played the bass melody of crazy train.

I've been playing guitar (Fender Telecastor) for about a year now...Mostly I try to play some of the Avenged Sevenfold stuff, but their guitarist is really good. Can also play Rage Against The Machine, The Offspring, Soundgarden, Audioslave, and a bunch of other 90's bands.
I have recently figured out "Been Away Too Long" by Soundgarden (even though it sounds difficult it's not that hard) and "These Days" by the Foo Fighters.

So am I.
I could go grab the guitar now, if I wasn't writing an essay.
