Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say. I never want to let you down or have you go, it's better off this way.

Re: Rock from the 40's-2001

90's nerd rock!!!

And 90's alternative.

Even 90's hip hop was better than it is now.

God bless that decade.

BTW Good mainstream rock music died at the beginning of 2005. There was good music such as Blurry by Puddle of Mudd, Shimmer/Hemmorrhage by Fuel, and the Killers Hot Fuss.

I read that a few of the Beatles who were born near the beginning of the 40's listened to Elvis and Elvis influenced one of them, I think it's John. Idk

Re: Rock from the 40's-2001

"Years active: 1953–77"

elvis was born in 1935 so it doesn't make much sense that he was famous in the 40s

offtopic though, sorry

Re: Rock from the 40's-2001

Funny, I was just watching the beginning of a ten-part documentary series on the history of rock and roll. It's really interesting - Part 1 revolves around the first generation of rock and rollers: Fats Domino, Little Richard, Elvis Presley, "Rocket 88", Jerry Lee Lewis, etc.

I'm gonna check out Part 2 later tonight - I think it's supposed to revolve around the era of rock in between Elvis and the Beatles.  big_smile

Actually that rock looks kind of uh
metamorphic?
so it's probably
depending on your religion
thousands-billions of years old
so no not from the fourties
