Ideas on a new game
I would really like to make a sort of strategy/defence game, but i'm having trouble thinking of good themes. Whenever I start on something, i just get another idea and work on that instead. I really need a good theme and story.
Also, not futuristic, and not like modern combat. maybe medieval or magic...This has been delayed a bit too long, so I'll finish it now:
1). It's a great time of year; people are happy, joyous, and warm. Friends are laughing in this tiny village, and neighbors are having great times together, though this isn't to last. Over the distant hills a group of children thief have appeared and are marching towards your city. You would of all evacuated, except now the children theif appear on every hill around your village. So now, you must defend your home against these intruders and save the children.
And just to say, something nice that you could add is a character that you could take control of and use to help the defense. And some customizability would be good. :)
2). Magician's Stand. In this Tower Defense, you (the magicians) and the peasants (or non-magic users) have always been at peace, but lately, something's disturbed the sea and the peasants are rioting against magic and your entire kind. Later, out of the blue, they launch a large-scale attack on the Magician's headquarters. So now, you must cast spells, create enchantments, summon beasts, and survive the events to come.
3). This is merely a spin off of the second idea, but instead of having it like a tower defense, you could build it like a war game in which you command troops and buildings while trying to survive the enemies coming at you.
I hope that you like my ideas!
Thanks! Am working on it right now, except that its gonna be more of a war strategy game than a tower defense strategy game. I also changed the story a bit, so the peasants are actually possessed by _____s, and in the end you have to defeat them.
Again, Thanks!

Okay, that sounds nice. So could you give a link when you're finished? I'd like to peep in.
Anyway, you're welcome and good luck with your project!

Here are some nice ideas:
1). High Tech Golf. In this twist of the modern sport, yes, you have to get the golf ball into the hole with the least amount of hits, though now you face a wide arrange of challenges. So for example, gravity machines will slowly pull your ball towards them, lasers could blast you at any second, some areas can only be accessed by key&gate, and there are teleporters to help mix up the fray. So, have fun in this interesting modification of the classical sport!
2). 4D mazes have always been mind-boggling to people because how do you create a 4D maze? Now, thanks to the latest developement of teleporters, you can do exactly that! So, using the teleporters, try and make it clear through the maze (or platformer) and to victory.
Note: If you want to see an actual example of a 4D maze like this, you can see a somewhat poor example here: here.

Okay, here are two ideas for story lines:
1). One peaceful morning, Mario was having a calm, tasty breakfast of toast with chocolate milk (or tea), when suddenly, he looks down a tunnel and notices a beautiful crystal perfect for Princess Peach. So, imagining the delight it could cause, he quickly goes and gets it, but when he gets right next to it, a note mysteriously appears saying that Bowser Jr. has kidnapped Prince Peach! Now, Mario gets enraged, and he hunts down Bowser Jr. The twist is, Bowser Jr. doesn't have Princess Peach. Bowser does! So Mario has to take an extra stop at Bowser to save Princess Peach and the day.
2). It was an average day with Mario smashing goombas when Luigi comes along and tells Mario of this fantastic mushroom field he found! So, they both energetically set off towards the field, but along the way, a fierce storm blows them into a deserted desert. Now, as they try and find their way home, the land becomes more hotter and hostel. Eventually, the land is boiling and they have no choice but to enter Bowser's castle, which they just found. Luigi sits down out of shear exhaustion, though Mario trudges on to explore the stinky place. And the other dreadful twist comes in; Luigi is captured! And so, after returning to find him gone, Mario must find Luigi and save his brother from Bowser's fiery clutches.
I hope that you like my ideas!

That was a really nice game! So, I can see that the next one should be really great.
Anyway, here are some ideas on improving the current game:
1). Currently, the game feels repetitive and some sort of new challenge is needed. So, you could add in triple- or quad-laser ship, or you could experiment with mine ships. Or, there's the possibility of dive planes, and tank ships that have extra health.
2). A mute button could be nice.
Here are some ideas for your future game:
1). Campaign Mode would be nice. And if you add this, then you could always add some sort of currency (gold, gems, ship parts) and a shop as well. Remember, this doesn't have to replace the current upgrade system; you could just have the bought upgrades tacked onto everything else.
2). How about a customizable ship? You could have this standing alone meaning every option is available to you, or you could tie this in with the shop.
3). An achievement system. Awards could also give some money if earned.
4). You could add in some more types of cargo drops in your game. For example, one could be a shield, and another could be a temporary, extra gun which you can shoot with.
I hope that you like my ideas!

Thanks a ton! I'm making two sequels, so I'll have some of these in here. I'm almost finished 2, so a lot of this will be implanted in 3. Thank you!

# of ideas: As much as you can manage
Ideas On: a Tower Defense game
Description: Yeah, a td game (not too weird, example of what not to suggest: CANDYCANE DEFENSE!!!)
Anything Else: Don't need too too much detail, like the enemies and whatnot, but just the basic idea, like what u are defending, and maybe basic story (if there is one).
By the way, I looked at some other suggestions u made to others and they're really good. I congratulate you!

Thanks! I put a lot of effort into them. :)
Anyway, here are some ideas:
1). Your neighbor has always loved astronomy, and the luckiest thing happened to him; he was watching the sky one day and a UFO flies across the sky! And to make things luckier, he was able to capture a picture of it! Everything seems nice, safe and sound, but the problem is that, even though your photograph has been confiscated and taken to a deep military base, the aliens still want it back, and so they've launched an attack on the military installment. Now, you, the military general of the base, must defend the place against all odds. Good luck!
2). It was the tempest of the time, a horrible event for England and a terrific one for the pirates; The Majesty, the queen's ship, had been sunk! Now, being a pirate yourself, you've been celebrating madly, though this is to end soon because England has launched a full-scale invasion of the pirate's main base! So, being the pirat'es head general, you must now defend your home against England in this game.
3). A zombie Apoclypse TD. You're the survivors defending your town against a horde of angry zombies.
4). WW III TD. It's you defending an island(s) against an incoming nation. If you choose this, then you could include both water and air enemies.
I hope that you like my ideas!

Okay, well then I have some ideas for you:
1). A flower tycoon game. Here, you've always had a passion for flowers, and now you have the chance to turn it into a buisness! So, you get to plant flowers and make as much money as you want, or you could get just enough to make a wonderful garden and marvel at what you've created. Remember, decorations would be nice.
2). A simple platformer involving ice, lava, and trampolines.
3). A game where you happen to own a trampoline. It is not any ordinary trampoline, but it's the world's largest and strongest trampoline. And so, now you'll be skydiving out of a plane, avoiding clouds/birds, and looking for favorable air gusts as you rush down towards your trampoline to see how high you can jump.
Oh, and as a simple variation of the above, you could just create a simple trampoline game where you collect as many coins as you can.
Just to point out, you might want to get your brother Willpower to help with some of these.
Anyway, I hope that you like my ideas! Also, hello Jetpower and welcome to Scratch! I wish you a spectacular time here as well as lots of fun!

Wells that nice to hear! When you finish it, could you tell me? I would like to come and stop by, if that's okay with you. ;)
Anyway, your welcome! Also, good luck with your game!
Edit: Just something I think that you might be interested in; did you know that when you type _meow_ in a project comment that you'll get Scratch's head?

Copying one of my other idea requests....
I've been making engines lately. I will take engines that don't use math that use/are above trig, aren't cellular automata, and aren't platformer engines. To get an idea of what I want, I made a Portal gun and a grappling hook based off of zubblewu's platformer engine.

Interesting; this reminds me slightly of the game-engine shop that we have here on the forums. Anyhow, I'll be back with some ideas soon.
