Hey guys didlybop here,
I don't know if any of you that are reading this are into cartooning or not but I know I am! but if you are into cartooning try answering these questions for me!
1. Who is your ultimate favourite cartoonist?
2.When did you start cartooning?
3.What kind of cartooning do you draw? (serious superhero comics/cartoons)
(or funny stupid hilarious silly cartoons)
4. If your not a cartoonist and you just happen to be looking at this topic, I would recommend watching lessons from Bruce Blitz because he is probably the best cartoonist I would like! By the way you could go to www.bruceblitz.com for cartooning kits that Bruce Blitz himself made and recommended some of the kits come with a dvd library! by the way those online lessons I was talking about are on Youtube just search Bruce Blitz cartooning.
and remember as Bruce Blitz would say KEEP CARTOONING!!!
AND............................... SCRATCH ON!!!!!!

1. I don't really have one, I just like to draw.
2. Around when I was 7 or 8.
3. I mainly go towards the funny side, but I'm working on a superhero comic that's kind of a mix of the two.

I love Bill Watterson's works.
I love drawing, and I'm actually very good at it, most people say. I started in second grade drawing little picture books with me and my friends. This is that age when poop jokes were the funniest things. Our comics involved characters like "Turbo Turd" and whatever. I recently uncovered these old stories while reorganizing my room, and I was facepalming and laughing at how sucky my sense of humor and writing/drawing skills were. Back then my drawing skills were god awful but I got better in fourth grade. Now there's tons of my paintings and ink drawings all over my house.
I don't really cartoon anymore. I mostly draw random stuff just for fun. I do plan on getting back into it someday.

Does nobody else think that poop jokes are still kind of funny? Actually, I haven't reLly stopped thinking things are funny. Some jokes I made when I was 8 I still think are funny (senior citizens are larger than the others, no one knows why).
Anyway I kinda like drawing stuff in a cartoony way but lack the patience and/or talent to actually write a comic.
edit: sorry this post makes no sense, I was really tired when I wrote it

Me too, I prefer to draw cartoons than anything else. My art style is quite similar to the style I use for my computer art.

I never find poop jokes funny anymore, but my cousin still does, and he's 12. ._.
Also I lack patience to draw a full comic. People, especially at school, say I have the talent, but I don't have any ideas. I'm a nerd, so naturally I have a nerdy sense of humor. Plus I like drawing more realistic kinds of stuff.
My local library had this comic book making contest thing, and I entered once when I was 10. The book I made was really lame, but I actually won. I also entered again when I was 12. This time I didn't win, but that was only because I sprinkled in one little vulgar joke at the end. Now if I enter again I'll finally be in the Teen section. Only downside to that is I'll have to compete with a plethora of 14 year old girls drawing manga-style stuff. -.-

I've made a few comics on here, but they are hard to recreate on the internet.
And they aren't near my best.

Me? Not so much. The drawing shows "Zack" getting hobbes at some pawn shop. Calvin got rid of hobbes becuase he is "too old" (10)
(Also my first drawing of hobbes)
