I think mine was Super Smash Bros. Melee. My neighbors had a GameCube (I think they still do) and whenever I'd go to their house for a party or something the kids would always be playing this fighting game. I asked if I could play (I was something like three and a half) and they were like "No dude you're too young" and I'm like "C'mon, please?" Finally they let up and gave me the controller. Since the GameCube controller seemed so complicated to me at the time, I asked what I was supposed to do. They taught me the controls and I'm like "Okay I got it" and I proved to actually be pretty good at it, considering I was three and a total noob at video games.

I believe it was Super Mario 64, or Pokemon LeafGreen. I'm not exactly sure, but it's one of those two.
EDIT: Me and Slapperbob posted at the exact same time!

Super Mario Galaxy.
I hated video games until I got the Wii in 2006. I didn't play Wii Sports.
Anyways, we were at a Costco shortly after SMG came out, and we were looking for a cool game. I looked at the box and said "Mommy this game looks cool" (I was in 1st grade, btw.) and I played it when we got back and I loved it.
I remember waking up at 6:00 AM every Saturday to play it. Memories, sweet memories.
(Even though I HATED 1st grade.)

My first "proper" game system was a Gameboy Advance SP. I remember the days spent playing Pokemon Ruby and Super Mario Bros. 3. It was most certainly amazing.
I also remember my GameCube, where the shining game (at beginning) was Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, as well as subsequently getting lost in the world of Hyrule with LoZ: The Wind Waker and LoZ: Twilight Princess. I should totally go back and finish those games; maybe get an emulator as it's just easier to play on the computer. If only there was an easy way to use the controller.
Also, for nostalgia-related reasons I have kept my Gamecube, even after being replaced by the backwards-compatible Wii. We tried taking it to Gamestop but they didn't give us an acceptable offer (IIRC it was $10 for the system and a controller, and we wanted to keep the controllers for use with the old games on the Wii) so I kept it. Also unusual, since I usually dismantle old tech, I've left it in my room, unharmed. Maybe when replaying them I should bring out the original.
