Add ghost from last costume to paint editor

This would make animating in scratch SO MUCH EASIER. So, that means that the previous costume would be half-shown, so you could edit the joints, emotion, etc. correctly, without having a misaligned costume, etc.

To conclude, I believe that adding this one button to the scratch paint editor would make it amazingly easier to animate.

Re: Add ghost from last costume to paint editor

Why not just duplicate and edit it?

Sometimes you don't really want the same thing, but do want to know where you end off. Having a ghost background would also be really helpful for creating terrains, because that way you don't get jagged joints between pieces.

because if you're dealing with an animated body, for example, anything you're changing has to be erased first. Then, when you start drawing, you have to guess where the joints before were. With a ghost behind your new one, you can see EXACTLY where every pixel was, so you can create precise animations without having to guess, test, edit, then guess again, etc...

Wasn't a necropost since it is still relevant and the bumper is the owner of the topic

Re: Add ghost from last costume to paint editor

You can just make the animation frames different sprites. Set the ghost effect. Then put the costume into the other sprite.

But the ghost effect won't transfer over to the new sprite.  hmm
