Are you planning to make some chart of the results? Those are neat: they never come out even.

bye 1.4, we all loved you. but we all outgrew the site. 2.0 is a welcome change.

random

technically, it's random since its a possible 5 number combination.
like if I said choose a random number from 1-10 1 could be random even though its a boundary
if I said use the letters of cat to make a "word" possibilities would be atc tca act etc and it would include cat, and that would possibly be selected "randomly"

just because they're the first five natural numbers in order doesn't mean they're not random

yes but you didn't go "hmm first number... 1" then "hmm... next number... 2" you did them in that order on purpose.

I chose a random combination of 5 numbers

technically choosing 5 numbers is essentially choosing 5 random numbers

if I can't choose 1-5 because they're special does that mean people can't choose 666 because it has meaning and other numbers that aren't apparently "random"?

for all we know wait we don't know anything about what the numbers are going to be used for

Yeah

You clearly thought "I'm going to post the first five consecutive numbers", making it not random, since you're deliberately making a pattern with your numbers

and patterns are not random right?

Thought of by a human, for example, "4444" is not random, it would be thought of as a pattern.

But by a machine, generated by a random program, it stays random.

there are no TRUE random number generators, they are algorithms and generate numbers based on a pattern
some of the best random number generators base their numbers off of outside sound or wind so it is veery close to random
