In 2.0, there will be cloud variables and lists, which will make it possible to have multiplayer things.

If you haven't already read the announcements, scratch 2.0 will be out on the 28th jan, then everybody can use 2.0, this will allow for cloud variables in which you can create loads of cool things like leaderboards and saving your games, if you are good at coding, you can also make an online world kinda project.
