I'd like to be a curator!
I like projects that are unique, retro/ arcade games, for the most part. I also enjoy any project with an interesting storyline and plot. If the project has appealing graphics, that's a plus!
I do not like much of the things that turn up on the front page, and I'd like to see some diversity, as many othe curators have provided.
I'm very active, so I'll be constantly searching for great projects without to many views.
Thanks for reading!

i would like to feature projects that i think that more people should see.

I would like to be a curator. Just to say, I am on scratch 4 hours a DAY!!! I love scratch and hope to get me of my projects featured one day. I would choose projects that people could play multiple times without ever getting bored!!! Some nice complex projects would work! Please choose me!

I would like to be a curator. I usually play games on scratch, but from time to time I like watching short animations. I like games with a good structure that look good, Simple games that are easy to learn and competitive, or have a high re-playability value. Animations I watch are either short and funny or longer and filled with action.

I would like to be a curator on the Scratch website. I find it interesting that people find projects and post them on the homepage, so other people can enjoy them! I would like it if I could be a Scratch curator. I have some projects I would like to put on the homepage. Here they are:http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Cookman/2937497, http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/racecar2001/2605039, http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/tomicool/1938196. Sorry if some of these are too old, but they are projects I would like to put on the front page of scratch, for others to find and enjoy!

Hello, I'd like to be a Scratch Curator because I really think that Scratchers on the website have great potential; boys, girls, African-American, White, every single Scratcher. I'd like to curate projects that I believe are special in their own way. Now, I'm not picking good from bad, because I believe all projects are equal. But like I said, I would curate non-well known projects and give them a chance in the spotlight, and show off their true potential and creativity.

I would like to be curator. I like effects, animations, platformers, or just any game that can be fun and addictive, which I personally know takes a lot of work (not just in Scratch)

I would like to be a curator because I would like to give Scratchers the chance to show off their talent. I would show Not just games, but animations, artwork, and many other topics of programming. I would curate things at least two to three times a week, to give a diversity of projects to the Scratch community. I would not favorite my own projects to get publicity, because that would be dishonorable. If I were chosen as curator, I would be very grateful.

Could I make a project where people sign up on it then scratchers vote and I announce the winner here?

Hello! I have applied several times before, but I feel that this will be my best so far.
A quality that would make someone a good curator is being able to put yourself in someone else's shoes. This quality is good because you can imagine; "If I was talking to a curator, is this how I would talk?" Another reason this quality is good is you can imagine how much time and effort the creator put into that project. I feel I have this quality.
Another good quality is honesty. A good curator dosen't tell someone they'll curate something and then they don't. I'm not exactly sure I've mastered this skill. It's pretty hard.
My curating plan is to curate two projects a day, 5-7 days a week. That way, most projects will be on the front page for several hours to two days. I could post a forum thing with slots for each project I'll curate. First come first serve.
One problem with me being curator is my Dad dosen't have internet. DO NOT ASK. That would be a problem because I wouldn't be able to get on Scratch for a few days every other week. I guess this could be solved if it was timed right and I only took a one week term, but I don't want to put anyone in the trouble of timing it just right. I'm sure it'll be fine.
If I became curator I would curate mostly Art Projects (not coloring contests. Unless they're really good, I guess.) and unknown animations. Maybe a few platformers or games, but that would probably be it.
I thank you for considering me! I would be greatly honored if I was chosen.
I am Mintfang, and I approve this message!

When will the guidelines be out (aka can't curate flagged/inappropriate projects, already popular projects, your own projects, etc.)?

Interested in applying to be a Scratch curator?
We choose curators that represent the diversity of the Scratch Community - girls, boys, gamers, storytellers, animators - Scratchers of all kinds! We especially like to choose Scratchers who have been helpful and contributing members of the Scratch community.
When applying to be curator, it's good to give some thought to the kind of projects you'd like to show. "Cool projects that most people have never seen!" is a nice idea, but it doesn't really give us a good sense of what you like and why. We want to know what makes a project interesting to you.
Try viewing the projects in your favorites, and see if you can find a theme that describes them. Talk about that theme in your post on this thread, and consider providing a few links to good examples of that theme.
For example, I really like projects that use sound input from the microphone to draw interesting designs on the screen. Here's an example of one that I recently added to my favorites: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/MitFan/874786

Hi there, this is my second attempt.
I would like to apply for a scratch curator. I would curate projects that not only don't have many views but also have had effort put into them, like Pastel Dreams by Gagamonster105. I would also curate projects that involve some maths like r2dav2's project: 3D Generator 1s1s.
I think I would be good at this because I have quite a popular review shop where I've reviewed a lot of games already...
I would not curate projects that have been done quickly or colouring contests. I like projects that have good art drawn by the creator of it.
I would add projects to my favourites 4 or 5 times a week.
Thanks for reading!

I like to look at scratch games and sometimes animation, and I have some games I want the rest of the scratch world to see. I see the curated projects, and when I go to them, I know why they were curated. I have some projects like that. Here they are. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/magicpotatoes2/3019629, http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/racecar2001/2910128, http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/UltraJordan/3013150.

I would like to be a Scratch curator, because I would like to give users of the Scratch community some limelight. I would feature projects with lots of hard work and effort put into them. I would not just curate games, but animations, artwork, and projects that just deserve some recognition. Examples of these projects would be http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/GriaMolar/3023843, http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/curiouscrab/3026658, and http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/WarriorJem/3038099. In short, if I was a curator, I would give unknown users of the Scratch community a moment to shine.
