Windows 8
Hello,
Was hoping to download scratch on my computer running windows 8 but only saw windows 7 and previous windows versions available on the download page. Does anyone know if there is a windows 8 version or if one is in the works?

Just use 1.4 in desktop mode. All programs compatible with Windows 7 will work in Windows 8 Desktop.

Thank you all. Downloaded scratch 1.4 on windows 8. It works like a charm!
Unless there is a technical twist I'm not grasping, I would suggest to the project team to add windows 8 to the list of compatible microsoft operating systems on the download page.

Scratch 1.4 should work on Windows 8 - I use it and Scratch downloaded and works just fine for me.

Scratch 1.4 is compatible with windows 8.

Thee is a technical twist. The scratch team still aren't sure if scratch 1.4 works on windows 8. They've tested it on the other platforms do they can say they support them. When scratch 2.0 comes out, it will be supported by Anything with flash.
