stamp block

I need to put a stamp on stage, when another ball touches the stamp already there stops and places another stamp. any ideas please

You could give the stamp a certain color around its outline and have the ball sense the color of the outline?  Unfortunately stamps are not true sprites and act more like paint on the stage's background.
