Geek or Athlete?

Um, I am not really sure myself, because people say I suck at trying to get into sports, even the easiest ones. My sister says I suck at sports all the time, and even some of the athletes in my school say that, and that I am a nerd. That is why I quit making scratch projects. So now I do normal things like every other boy does, minus the sports. Like I listen to music and stuff, play video games, read every day for 30 minutes, and stuff like that. I am basicly like a boy that has no hobby. I rarely ever program right now. I am just acting like a normal person on the computer, as I am only 10, and I am very proper with grammar. I am Maryland in the US, where everyone has nice grammar, and I have to live in [remainder removed by moderator - please use respectful language and be respectful of people in all geographic locations]

Re: Geek or Athlete?

Well I live in Chicago and I am almost 12. Yes, I have been to hillbilly places, and I know what it's like. I don't think i could take it there. I am very blessed and gifted because I was born with a smart mind. I also play three sports (basketball, hockey and baseball) and made the all-star team for baseball two years in a row. My friends look at me as the smartest person, but don't think that I'm a geek.

Neither.

I actually think it's funny that a few of the people who play sports call me gay and stuff, because they think I care what they think.

Re: Geek or Athlete?

Geek. Smarts will get you further in life than being athletic.

I live in Alabama, which is also full of rednecks and hillbillies. So I know how it feels, and I will admit that it sucks sometimes.  sad

(Also you probably don't need to be using "the f word" on the scratch forums. It's a very quick way to get banned, even if you censor it.)

Re: Geek or Athlete?

I don't agree with labeling people. Nor do I agree with targeting specific people because of where they live, or implied swearing on a children's website.
By the way, are you making or creating Geeks and Athletes? Probably not, so this doesn't belong here - rethink your post and put it in the right place and perhaps a better discussion could start.

Re: Geek or Athlete?

A mildly to moderately athletic geek.  But that's a lot of almost-swearing for Scratch.

Re: Geek or Athlete?

Whoa man, chill your freaking beans. Now, I'm sure everyone here realizes that you are a proper Marylander who hates living in Tennessee, but firstly, what does this have to do with geekery versus athleticism?, and secondly, genocide is not cool, nor is using the f word.

Yawn, another boring text signature. I should really make something better.

Re: Geek or Athlete?

Please read the posting guidelines for the forums before posting (look at the sticked topics at the top of the index) - this section is for talking about things that you are making or creating that you like to do and want to share with your fellow Scratchers.

Remember that you can still make a Scratch project about most topics, even if they are not permitted in the forums.
