(Temporarily 'Top 5 Collections of Original Music of 2012 in an aid to end recent unprecidented flame)
2012 brought us lots and lots of musical melodies and to choose a select few would be hard, but, it must be considered. Anyway, suggest your five favourite albums from 2012 and share with your fellow Scratchers!
5 // ZEDD's Clarity
A colourful, vibrant and original album from ZEDD - which contains lots of fresh new EDM material. I'd suggest this for any electro house/pop fan.
4 // Knife Party's Rage Valley
Hate Skrillex? Too mainstream? If that's your problem, then here's some brostep/complextro which combines atmosphere with hard, dark dubstep. And it's from Rob Swire and Gareth McMillian (former members of Pendulum).
3 // deadmau5's <album title goes here>
Many people hated '4x4=12' because it strayed too far from deadmau5's roots - so deadmau5 literally went back to his old downtempo style - being careful not to completely loose grip of his progressive house work though either.
2 // KOAN Sound's The Adventures of Mr. Fox
KOAN Sound are the best grimestep producers I know, mixing oriental ambiences with new dubstep sounds. Here is an example of their perfect work.
1 // Kill the Noise's BLVCK MVGIC
Once again, another original dubstep producer creating new tunes and atmosphere with originality. But what actually got this album to No. 1 is the last tune, 'To Be Continued' which is probably and undoubtedly the best piano I ever heard. Because it's an expert cover of 'Kill the Noise Pt. 1'.
Feel free to share your thoughts and your top 5 albums of 2012*.
*Includes EPs, remix albums and collections.

Runners Up
If I'm adding a fifth one, I'd say I'm really liking TSO's new EP (which I got with tickets to their Lost Christmas Eve Tour)
(this one costs money)

1. Nothing in Rambling // Helvetia
2. Snug Rungs EP // Impaled Peach
3. Daughter of Cloud // of Montreal
4. Class Clown Spots a UFO // Guided by Voices
5. An omen_ EP // How to destroy angels_
I'm guessing that 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! by Godspeed You! Black Emperor will supersede at least one of the following once I hear it. Valtari by Sigur Rós and Image on the Reverse by FUR may also have that chance.

Hi! Well.. I still have yet to dig through my collection of awesome albums but I loved Red by Taylor Swift. She is such a good songwriter!

She is. I find it cool that she hides secret messages in her lyrics.

Nah. I'd probably hate it. I do hate 90% of all music.

Then, if you don't mind me asking, why post in a music thread?

Nothing you've said thus far has been an opinion, though.

Well - it is still a collection of original tracks released in 2012.

Last time I checked the topic name was "Your Top 5 Albums of 2012" not "Your Top 5 Collections of Original Tracks Released in 2012".
Correct me if I'm wrong.

But you were defending your choice of Rage Valley by saying that, while not an album, it was still a collection of original tracks.
If you're going to use a stupid argument, at least be consistant with said stupid argument.
