Does anyone here keep a daily journal like me? It's not like one of those, "Dear Diary" creepy things, it just has my thoughts and what I did that day... I enjoy writing, if I'm frustrated it kinda lets me vent to no one. XD I think it'll be funny to look back when I'm 20 and see what I was thinking....
So, now that I've made a complete fool of myself, does anyone else keep a journal?

Don't think you're a fool. I've kept a journal since I could write. And I'm male, if that really makes a difference to you.
Journal entry from 2007. Jan. 1st, to be exact.
"Today is the day I start writing. I got this journal for Christmas. This is for girls. Maybe I'll try this."
Journal entry from yesterday:
"Today has to be one of the greatest days ever. I mean, besides two weeks ago when I went to the movies with [girlfriend's name removed]. I got a ton of things from ThinkGeek [fast foward all of my gifts]. Lucy (my dog) yanked me around in the snow today. I'm glad we had a white Christmas this year. We haven't since about 2007. There was snow on the ground, but it wasn't snowing. Oh well."
Things have changed. Writing helps me clear my head. I'd imagine it does the same for you, also.

Woah, it's a great relief to know I'm not the only one!
Yes, it definitely helps clear my head. I find my journal to be like a friend, a very good friend. You can tell them anything. Now I sound really weird.
And since you're male, that's like a double wow. (No offense to all you males, girls just seem to be more emotional and crazy. I hope I'm not emotional and crazy. XD)
I also enjoy doodling in my journal. It helps me relax.

I have a journal. I wish I bothered to write in it more

I find it kind of strange that diaries/journals sometimes have locks on them. Doesn't that sort of incourage people to beak in? I'm not saying those kinds our bad I just find it odd. Anyway, I do keep a journal, but I don't write in it every day.

I try to keep a journal sometimes, but it feels like i'm writing to myself
so i feel the need to vent to random people on the internet
Offline
i use my journal to help decipher my day whenever my day needs deciphering
i take a rational look at what's made me upset/angry/confused and try to evaluate if it's worth getting whatever over it
normally no
i also use it to write happy stuff in
and whenever i'm in hospital it staves away boredom

Yes, I also find it strange. The locks are so weak that basicly anyone could break into them too! (Of course, the exception being babies etc.)
And to me, the locks are always heart shaped or something disgusting like that. (I'm not a girly girl, some people even refer to me as a tomboy.)

I had a journal when I was like 6 and gave up on it the first day.

Yeah. Sometimes I feel like people write in a journal just to say they keep a journal. I mean, I sorta dout I'm going to care what style I put my hair in or what my shirt color was in 20 years. I don't really care about that stuff much now s why would I then? [Note: I do NOT write about that stuff. Again, I'm not saying it's bad to keep a journal about that stuff it's just not the most important stuff in the world.]

I've just started one. This sounds like a good idea, to me at least. I like the idea of having something to look back on and to show future generations what life is like now. Because by the time I have kids old enough to read it and understand it, the iPod Touch, Wii, and even maybe Scratch will all be things of the past.

I've always kept a journal and looking back at the time when I was 7 and wrote in a journal, I can't even understand my scribbles and drawings.

I don't understand why that's double wow. I thought it was girly at first (as I said in the first entry I ever wrote), but then I got used to it, and now I turn to my journal to see what is going on in my life.
I suffer from severe memory issues, so writing helps me remember. I don't even remember what I had for breakfast this morning, hah!

Journals seem awfully lonely to me. Instead, I would rather talk to myself in my head. (that way no one can read my thoughts, muahahahha >

those aren't memory issues
that's memory filtration
we only remember important things
it's so our brain doesn't get filled up

I dunno. Writing in a journal seems like a thing guys would scoff about. I'm not including all males, I'm just saying that from personal experience with males (I have an older bro) they seem more.... Uh... I dunno what the word is. Whatever. XD
But it's cool that you keep a journal.

I actually had a journal until earlier this year, when I filled it up. At first it started out about my normal daily life, but then I started writing down my stories and drawing in it. The last set of pages were actually a script for an anime/manga I made up.
