It's a decent idea, but considering the fact that our names are already blue, and red isn't part of Scratch's color scheme, it's a bit redundant.
Maybe a color distinction for the words Scratcher and New Scratcher?

Scratch Team members don't need to be color coded. There are 2 types of Scratch Team members, community moderators and admins. Admins have a * beside their name, while moderators have a o beside their names.

Actually, the ST are admins. Moderators aren't on the Scratch Team...
