RPG Maker
i searched and couldn't find an rpgmaker thread so i went ahead and made one!!
so, anyone else using rpg maker for anything?
i have quite a few game ideas, but my main focus at the moment is on two:
one is a yume nikki fangame. ("ooooooooof cooooourseeee", the wind whispers) the dream worlds will mostly be more traditional, but for real life at least and maybe a little of the dream worlds, i'm taking the route many western fangames have gone down and adding dialogue and leaving your room and stuff.
another is a series of games that i just call "the Sunshine series". it's not a fangame of anything. i'd explain it but i don't want this post to get too long haha/
i do have some others, though.
one's a game i forgot the title of. you play as a man who is one of the few survivors of some sort of fall of society. your goal is to stay alive until... well, if i had this fleshed out, i forgot! i don't even remember if it was a happy or sad ending. i'll probably make it bittersweet at best haha.
the other's one i hardly have fleshed out at all! you play as a little girl accompanied by your aunt through a weird other world full of things that will probably hurt you. i'll have to get back to that game idea later and fix it.
so yeah, anyone else here using rpg maker for anything?

my sisters working on a game called "mal" and i had an idea for one where your goal is to kill satan except satan is a woman who lives on the moon
also one of my favorite computer games, space funeral, was made in rpg maker
its pretty short but its really cool and moderately creepy

I'm currently using RPG Maker 2003 to make a YN fangame. It's going to be called 'SadnesS' and it is going to be about Tina, a depressed young woman in her late teens to early twenties. You go about exploring her dreams, discovering bits and pieces about her past which led her to this state. Rain and isolation will be a common theme, and unlike most fangames, there will be speech and observations made by Tina herself. There will be three endings, but I won't spoil it for you. I'm just going to say that there will be a bad ending, a good ending, and an ambiguous, mysterious ending.
I also have several other fangame ideas, but I won't share them here.
