BYOB > .EXE Problem

So that I could share a BYOB project I made with friends who don't have BYOB, I converted it to .EXE using the feature in the Share bar in BYOB, and posted a download on my website: hoggpress.weebly.com. The upload of it worked.

But when I tested the .EXE download, it gave an odd "security threat" message from my Norton 360 software, and I couldn't open the application.

Why is this? I don't see the issue with my project; it's perfectly safe.

Also, here's the link to the .EXE download page: http://hoggpress.weebly.com/2/post/2012 … a-v15.html

And the link to the normal, working BYOB .YPR download page: http://hoggpress.weebly.com/2/post/2012 … -byob.html

Thank you for your help!

Edit: Also, it definitely isn't a problem with Weebly. Something similar happened when I tried to email this, as well.

Re: BYOB > .EXE Problem

No! It just assumed that there was something wrong with it, because Norton is careful...

Re: BYOB > .EXE Problem

There's nothing wrong with the .EXE files that BYOB create, it's just that Norton is so stupid it can't think that you're downloading a safe file. It just says "Oh, this is an .exe file that's being downloaded! It's a threat!" pretty much. That's why I have AVG, which doesn't have that. IE9 has that kind of thing but it only warns you and you can press 'Ignore' to continue.

I'm back.
Maybe.

I thought so. Well, I just decided to stick it on a thumb drive and give it to my friends who wanted it, instead of making an online download. But thanks!
