I have seen the rise of many internet cultures on these forums, but I have never once seen any mention of the amazingness that is Touhou.

But what is Touhou, you may ask?

Essentially, it's a top down shoot-em-up/bullet curtain(Danmaku) game. You play as overpowered little girls trying to stop other overpowered little girls from destroying the fictional land of Gensokyo, where humans, spirits, and youkai mingle, sometimes not so harmoniously.

If you want to get in to the series, you should be able to find downloads somewhere on the internet. I recommend that you start with the 6th game, because otherwise certain characters will be allusioned to in later games that appear in the 6th game.

Also, if you were to Google Touhou characters, I strongly recommend that you have Safesearch on. Seriously, do it.

Anyway, this topic is for people to talk about Touhou and such, sharing tips on how to get through those Extra stages and arguing about which Stage 6 boss is the best(Which, obviously, is Utusho Reiuji).
