and who said he had a mental illness? what's your source?

maybe he was very angry or depressed.
maybe he was doing it as a revenge against someone.
maybe he was doing it for the greater good, to strengthen gun control laws.

I don't agree with that last bit

Like if you wanted to strengthen gun control, you'd almost certainly be against gun use, so why would you then go on a killing spree

I've gone over this so many times. People in high positions are currently trying to strengthen gun control, because of this event. It might save more lives overall.

I just don't see why someone who's against gun use would kill lots of children, regardless of whether they're doing it for what they think is the right reason

I JUST TOLD YOU, because it might save more lives overall, and they might be a very "for the greater good" sort of guy.

Even with car accidents you never know if it was an accident,
a suicidal driver, or a driver using dangerous drugs like alcohol
abusing the car as a weapon.

i wouldn't call alcohol a dangerous drug, it's only dangerous when used inappropriately.

IDK why Obama hasn't enforced new gun laws ever since the DKR shootings. It needs to happen NOW

Alchohol isn't a drug. It just makes you drunk.

well no
we can normally figure it out quite easily if we deem to
i mean the alcohol bit
the suicidal driver or accident is a bit harder but if you cross-examine eyewitnesses, friends and family, p and how the cars are broken you can make an informed guess

Kinda ironic how the NRA keeps saying "it is too soon to politicize this" but then before it is distant enough to talk about policy another mass shooting happens.

Awful.  The man was autistic, and there probably going to blame it on that, which (in my opinion) had nothing to do with it.
I think the NRA has way to much power.
But, this had little to do with gun accessibility, this was not he act of a sane person.

america has an extremely high murder rate, and most of them are caused by perfectly sane people.

yes they would, there's still cocktail bombs and you can run over a lot of people at a time with a large car, but are they going to restrict common household items and large cars now?
plus the whole point of 'right to bear arms' or whatever is so that we can't be oppressed by the government

but this isn't a discussion on gun control anyways

Agreed. America is a great country, it's just those mentally insane people in every country that have to ruin it.
