Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

Hare Hare Yukai=Mo' happiness.

Those songs always give me an adrenalin rush for some reason.  tongue

Right then! Let us return to our enthusiasm of old days and other things of stuff!

Game, how's the clumping? I hate to bring it up again, but it must be done.

Man, we shoulda done that at the beginning of the collab, so the earlier it's done, the better. Seriously now, we can't hold back any further.

OK then artists, once we have the clumping done...

Thinking on it, I think we'll have to have a collab within the collab.

The reason being, everytime we've had someone do it, they've failed miserably.

Not to mention they ended up leaving the collab too. This is also a big step in our collab, and once it's done, it's done, only needing to be updated whenever a Fakemon's designs and attributes ar finalized.

Are we clear? Our next step is to get the clumping done. It's taking priority now.

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

We can't make a battle engine until the scroller is ready, because the engine needs to be compatible, and if it isn't then we wasted many hours of work just to restart. To get scroler rdy, we need maps......and it may take a while.......

Hey guys! I'm back! I got grounded for 2 weeks(my parents don't call it that, but we all know it is), and I'll only have limited computer for the rest of the trimester. Anyone mind if I post after the fact a little?

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

Right then.

Looks like a bit of a problem we have here.  tongue

I honestly don't care how long each thing is going to take (don't quote me on that, I'm sure to complain about how slow things are going eventually).

I only care that it gets done. So, I've decided how this clumping is going to work.

Game you're gonna clump all Fakemon from pages 1-10, including 10, so the next person clumps from 11-20, then the next from 21-30 and so on.

Also, we need clumping of Fakemon without any description or without any picture, because that's part of the reason we're clumping.  tongue  Be sure to gather any towns and other visible parts of the game the player will see (sprite sheets etc.)

This allows us to see what we have done. I'll quote this post every now and then to remind us what we're doing, otherwise this too will get lost in the sea of 76 pages of posts. XD

Indeed, we should get to it.

Game, where are you?

We need you for a miniscule part of clumping.

Miniscule? Minuscule? Who knows which is the correct way...

In fact, Google Chrome says miniscule is incorrect.

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

There we go.

We actually have some progress made.

Think of that! We actually did some clumping! *everyone in the office cheers*

Alright, alright, back to work.

If Google Chrome says that minuscule is correct, then I can't trust it anymore.

After all, the word is derived from "mini", and I doubt there's a word in the English language called "minu", and you don't see anyone say "minuscule" anyway.

Google Chrome just got pwned.  tongue

A few one-line paragraphs up, I said back to work. I'll do that now. :3

I shall clump from 10-20, if I find the will to do so, and when I'm not busy.

Minuscule could derive from 'minute'  tongue

Edit:'from Latin minusculus, rather small, diminutive of minus' It's Latin  tongue

I do, however, accept either miniscule or minuscule, so you can continue using miniscule.

That would give two different meanings, so two different words.

"Minuscule" would mean short amount of time.

"Miniscule" would mean a short amount of anything.

Therefore, "Minescule" is a term which means "to mine very little, not considered a word  tongue " in my dictionary.

Back on-topic then.

You don't hear people say my-nyu-skee-ool.

Re: Pokemon- Land Version and Pokemon- Sea Version Collab

Game's part on it:
Pages 1-10:

I've got an idea for the lightning dragon as a basis:
Chinese Dragon

The goldcrest
Firecrest

Water/Dark type Hippo
Psychic/Flying Flamingo
Steel type Elephant
An Electric type Giraffe

Dolphin

Jackal

Whatever this is:

Crystalic. It is Normal type.

OK. I've found the time (and non-laziness) to do the clumping on my part. I said I would do it, and I'm a man of my word. Plus, bey's comment motivated me. XD

Max's idea for Crystalic:
I have an idea for a random legendary: Crystalic. It is Normal type.

It has a humanoid body, but it is sealed inside a crystal. It has a special ability, Shock-Absorb, that allows it to take damage only from the type it is in, which is also the color of its crystal. I forgot to mention there are 16 crystals, that you give to Crystalic, that changes it's type and crystal color.

It's signature move, Crystal Storm, changes type along with Crystalic.

It could also be like the opposite of another legendary, so they form a duo. That "good" legendary fought Crystalic in an epic battle and the other pokemon won, so it sealed Crystalic in its crystal.

Ashurathehedgehog wrote this in believe it or not, despite not actually becoming a member. At this point in time, Crystalic's partner was nameless.

Pokedex: Crystalic, the normal type pokemon. It has a humanoid body trapped inside its crystal. It is the opposite of legendary pokemon *insert name here*.

Oh wow.

Looking through that, Zang actually had a detalied plan for clumping close to the beginning of the collab, but it had never come to fruition. O.O

Here's Zang's... oh wait...

Thanks to Iaza's great income for images, they have to be deleted after every 90 days...

I think Zang reposted it somewhere, I just hope it still exists.  tongue

Here's Perirex's description:

Perirex. It come from Periculum which is danger in latin, and Rex, which means king. It looks exactly like Crystalic, but it is not incased in a crystal. His ability is Adaptility , which allows him to change his type to the type that is super effective against the type of the pokemon he is against. This process takes 2 turns, however.

His signature move is Final Finale. It can only be used on the last pokemon on the 10th or higher turn of battle. It is also his type. It KO's himself and the opposing pokemon. This is the attack it used to defeat Crystalic in it's epic battle and seal it in a crystal. They can also talk.

I spotted a few grammar mistakes in there, I'm too lazy to fix them now.  tongue

This is part of my story for Crystalic and Perirex, back when I used a lot of smurt wurds.

"In that recreation that the two Legendary creatures had done, they had accidentally created two other Pokemon, Crystalic and Perirex. The two began fighting immediately, for Perirex was evil and Crystalic had a duty to stop it. After a long battle that the creators could not suppress, Perirex unleashed a great attack that encased Crystalic, and immoblised Perirex. During the time that the two couldn't move, their creators placed them on the opposite sides of Dosuo, a new landmass that [insert Land Version mascot name here] had created, solely for this purpose."

This works well that the two areplaced on opposite sides of the Dosuo, because there are two islands or large landmasses.  tongue

Here's Game's concept art for the Land Mascot.

Of course, since it's concept art, it needs work.

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/GameGuy65/2420964

Cuz I'm too lazy to put a link tag in.

Another link, because I'm too lazy: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/maxdoss/2405056

Then Zang posted her infamous three posts with the original starters.

Zang's very good proposal for Seegra:

One: Keep Seegra. That one’s okay for right now, we’ll work on it a bit later.
Two: Nix Seeling and Seetree (Wow, I just noticed: Seeling sounds like ceiling XP). Those two are not going to work in the way we have them right now. We might be able to work a modified Seetree in as final evolution, but Seeling just can’t stay, as I explained in my last post.
Three: Before we start drawing fakemon, we focus on the fakemon themselves: their personalities, their physical appearance, and the general vibe they give off. Are we really going to market sweet Seegra like we have been, and then turn it into a menacing tree? Are we going to give Seegra an easygoing nature, and keep that characteristic throughout its evolution line?

Another link (don't expect it anymore  tongue ) http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/popopobob/2469741

Zang's Flarcat prototype: http://i42.tinypic.com/24do9vp.gif

That's pages 10-15. I'll get 16-20 done later.

Unfortunately, most of our programmers are quite busy, we could do with help.

You don't seem to be the type that goes "Make me part of the team, I like Pokemon!"

Just liking it won't get you  anywhere, and you seem to have a serious approach.

Even though I said we have enough, welcome to the team!
