Badges/Counter

I noticed lots of curators had trouble picking projects to curate because they didn't know whether or not the user had been curated before or featured. If there were badges or some sort of counter that when you're curated or featured you get a badge or the counter would count how many times you've been front paged. This would help clear up a lot of the confusion that goes on.

+1

on your user page there could be a list of stuff like "_____ was curated!" and "_____ was featured!"

Re: Badges/Counter

The Scratch Team did consider badges for featured projects a few years back - I remember that they had a prototype working in test that I got a look at.  I think it was finally decided not to go forward with it as it would tend to send out a message that the goal of Scratch was to gain fame and get "rewards" - and that's really not what the goal is.  The goal is learning and sharing and expressing yourself.

However, I can see where it might be helpful to have a "Last Curated" field and a "Last Featured" field that would be visible to curators to help them make their decisions.  Good idea  smile
