This is why we can't have good political discussions on scratch. For one thing, you provide no source to support this completely ridiculous claim. Second, maybe a few reps want to restrict video games, but one congressman making laughable (yet disturbing) statements is not the same thing as "the entire government is going to take away your NES."
It seems that we go through this every time there is a shooting. In Aurora, it was blamed on movies, which was fairly easy considering that it was the Dark Knight Rises. If media is the cause of these shootings we would have full scale anarchy right now.

look. people in america are already talking about strengthening gun control. one person being murdered won't change people's opinion on guns, but killing a large amount of people, getting it known, and especially killing kids makes people WANT better gun control, which could save more people overall.

i'm not saying i support that idea, but my point is that he could.

normal people can have all sorts of brain problems, nervous breakdowns for example are triggered by a wide variety of things
i believe that if somebody goes as far as to kill 20 children and 6 adults to promote gun control then theyre obviously having some sort of issue

if he wanted to promote it then killing them would be one of the most effective things to do. i'm not saying he did have this tactic. it's very unlikely, but it's possible.

The solution is definitely to give kindergarteners bullet proof backpacks.

yes because he had autism that's definitely why he did it! autism doesn't increase your chances for doing something like this (and that's assuming he actually had autism which isn't completely confirmed)
sure you could argue it increase your chances of plotting something but how many people a year do you think plot school shootings??? plenty more than actually do it

not that calling them disabled is much better, but that's the best term we've got for them at the moment

he was suffering from depression or paranoia at the time, which most people do suffer from during their teens or even later, which he was on the tail end of
most people exhibit it in violence against themselves, but it's a very small gap between hurting yourselves and hurting others

im pretty sure his mom wasn't actually a teacher, it was just misinformation at the start that spread. although that was something I thought might have been possible before I heard she wasn't a teacher

I can't stand it when stuff like this happens. I get nightmares sometimes about people trying to kill me. 

you can't really diagnose a dead man's brain though.


I also feel sympathetic about him. He must have gone through a lot of pain to have to resort to that
