Welcome. You may have heard of me. You may not have heard of me. Well, I don't mind, because I consider myself well-known. Here are a few reasons. Follow them and you will succeed in whatever you would like to be, whether an artist, programmer, engineer, doctor, or anything else.
1. Do what you love. It won't seem like a chore to you. Love programming bases, but not levels? Do it! It'll be faster, and you'll turn out better products. People will like them more. Don't gripe about it. If you do, try something else.
2. Go on the forums and be friendly. After a few months or so, with regular friendly posting, forumers will know you well. If you advertise a project in a signature, it will get views quickly.
3. Don't aim for views or love-its. Expecting them will just get your hopes down, and many "famous" people, or so they believe, say that they're quitting because they don't get enough views, and when that project gets views, they don't quit. DO NOT DO THAT.
4. Don't upload too often. If you upload one project a day that you want to get pretty well known, they won't. People will always wait for the finished version, which may never arrive.
5. Leave comments on the main site. Not every person who is on the main site is on the forums, so not everyone will view your projects. Leave comments, and people will more than likely click on your name. I have more than once.
6. Scratch is not about fame. It's just for fun, so not every great project is on the front page. Some not-so-great ones are on the front page. Don't expect to have all amazing projects on the front page.
7. Do not get put off by what other people say or do. Jealous people will put down your projects, say it's easy to make, say that they expect more, or say it's just horrible. Do not assume they're right. Do they make good projects like you? Just do what you love, and you'll prevail.
In summary, do what you love. Don't try to get famous, or it will be a LOT of work. People will constantly annoy you, try to copy you, and want more projects. Believe me, I've been there. The key points are numbers one, three, six, and seven. Read those, and you will have a great time at Scratch.

Would I be considered well-known? I have always wondered what other people would think.

Yes. However, this isn't supposed to be discussing who is famous.

It doesn't matter if it has views; it matters if it's good.

This is a great guide, but may I add something.
Ive had this happen multiple times:
People may say youre projects are bad. They may say they were expecting more. They may say that your project looks really easy to make when it wasnt. This is bassicly my life on scratch XD Dont let people bring you down and dont let go!
I want to get famous like RedRocker , but If I cant get that far, I want to get famous like CatPerson. I want to be famous for being funny, active, and nice!

Thank you for pointing that out.
About the second paragraph, I know you as much as RedRocker. I know CP a bit more than you, but I've worked with her.

You can be famous, but it isn't about fame.
