Please help me with this problem.
Pretty much, .wav files like songs downloaded from Scratch contain files but don't play anything in about half the programs like Scratch and media player. I'm pretty sure they've been working fine because I just noticed this today when trying to put a song in a project. The songs work in quicktime player and audacity though but I would like if I could get them to play in every program.
It's kind of urgent and I've been messing around with it trying to fix it but nothing is working.
Thanks!

Hmmm... this is odd. I've heard of .mp3 files not working, but never .wav files, except when the file was too large, but that should've only affected Scratch. So, what's the size of your .wav file? And is there some way you could get one of these music files to me so that I could examine it?

They used to work fine until today which is really strange. I ran one through audacity and resaved it as a wav again but this time, it worked in media player but not in Scratch. The file loads, but does not play anything.

Is it a corrupted file?

It's probably corrupted

Maybe it's a codec problem? I used to get that error a lot until I figured out I needed a codec to play certain WAV files.

So, I decided to test whether it was just my computer or if the music was actually broken. I uploaded a project to Scratch with music. On the offline version, the music didn't play but it worked online so it must be a problem with my computer.

Do you mean .wav files exported from a scratch project? They don't play for me in Windows Media Player either.
Yeah but they worked before though. .wav files don't work with windows player but they work with other things.
Also, no sound works with Scratch.
