You won't need to upload it; you can import projects from your computer into 2.0.

^Yep, this.
Just keep the 1.4 file on your computer; when 2.0 comes out, you'll be able to import the 1.4 files into 2.0 and then finish the game from there.

In fact, importing of projects from 1.4 to 2.0 is already implemented in the alpha!
