At first it was really scary. I heard that there was a school shooting and I thought that it was at the #@% *&%#$@#$% high school. I found out that it was a Newtown school just 10 miles away. The teacher pulled up a lot of videos about it and after about an hour the indecent turned from a very scary school lockdown into torture. The class has 35 kids that talk constantly and the teacher is kinda mean so ya. I did get to talk about why psychopaths are psychopaths with another atheist kid. Other than that It was pure torture. That Newtown elementary school wasn't the only school that was affected.

I wouldn't really count that as "affected" if you had to sit in a lockdown for over an hour, compared to having kids shot. :I

"Affected" is that the school isn't doing something it would normally do. I don't see anyone on scratch who was closer to actually living the incident.

My friend sent me this picture of this first grade teacher who sacrificed herself for her class. She hid them all in cabinets and told the shooter they were in the gym. Then the guy shot her down ;(

because most people actually have a basic understanding of mental illness.you don't wake up one day and shoot everybody, it builds up until you can't contain it. its not a rage that blinds you while you kill everybody and then leaves after a while, it becomes an obsession

This is such a sad and tragic event.
:,( Little kids...teachers...it's so so sad.
I don't even know what to say.
At this point the only thing I can think of doing is praying...praying for those who lost loved ones.

I've never experienced a school lockdown before, but it must be very scary.

we had a lockdown in year 2, when some armed criminals broke into the school but nobody was injured.
(except the principal who scraped his elbows when he tackled one of the criminals)

Our priest mentioned the incident in church today, it's becoming quite serious now.

yes as soon as a priest mentions it it becomes serious.

Thoughts go out to parents and relatives of those who died. This is a true tragedy and whoever is reponsible deserves to be jailed for life.

Yeah. They should be in jail for the rest of their lives.

depending on how you look at it and how things go in the future he may have saved more lives than he's killed.

It's truly tragic. I wish the news would leave the victims and their families alone and let them mourn.
