Start with just a Scratch player. Just dont make it in morphic.js because Snap! runs really slow on mobile devices (most of them, anyway). You can use jquery.com and jqueryui.js for it. Kick in some CSS 3 Webkit transformations and you have a Scratch player!

hey, whats the username and password for the account you uploaded Go Everywhere in OpenAppMkt send me the info in this (my contact email) : ge.contact@yahoo.com

Well, the only thing right now is the release. Smartglass is scheduled to be released on the same data that Windows 8 and Surface will be released. There is no new news for Surface, either. Only thing is the release, which is in two more days.

Re: Go Everywhere Beta 0.2

I have updated my code even further. It contains a new, working script interpreter.

Code: I have removed direct code in the post in an effort to put less pressure on the Scratch Forum's server and because the code wouldn't be up to date. You can open Dropbox downloads in Notepad instead to view the code.

Click to download the latest rdococ Go Everywhere Snippet Plus.

EDIT: Oops, necropost? Nevermind necroposting, I would like to revive this HTML project.
EDIT2: Windows 8 supports HTML5, Javascript and CSS for applications. So, Snap 4.0 and GE could become applications in Windows 8. That is quite amazing!

Yes, Microsoft wants everybody to develop in HTML5 for developing Windows 8 applications. We just need somebody with Windows 8 with Visual Studio 2012 for Windows 8 installed and a developer licence to put it in the Windows Marketplace.

That's great news. I am interested in Visual Studio programming. Is there a Visual Studio 2012 for Windows 7?

Yes. There are express, proffesional, ultimate, and enterprise. If you are a college student you can get Visual Studio 2012 and a whole bunch of other things for free at http://dreamspark.com. These work on Windows Vista, 7, and 8 (I would say XP too, but since XP is unsupported my Microsoft now, and I dont have any anymore, I dont know). The express versions are free. The first 30 days of express edition is an evaluation, then it expires. When that happens, just click "Get a licence" on the expiration dialog, take a short survey, and it will give you a free product key.

HOWEVER, there is a catch. Microsoft wants people to buy Windows 8. So, they made a new version of Visual Studio, called "Visual Studio 2012 for Windows 8". This is exactly like the express edition, EXCEPT there is a new type of template, called "Metro App". This is NOT in any other versions of Visual Studio except this one (and Visual Studio 11, but you still need Windows 8 to run it). So basically, you can't create Windows 8 Metro Style apps in Visual Studio 2012 on Windows 7. But you can still make some awesome desktop applications.

Something else you should know about Visual Studio. You are NOT confined to developing in only C++, Visual Basic, F#, and C#. Special plugins are available. Most are for Visual Studio 2010, because its been out longer. Some plugins allow developing with HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3, and all that other jazz with a simple auto-complete editor. You can develop in Java, C, Node.js, and even push/pull projects from Git repositorys.

I'm building on my latest GES+ code file to create Catnip. See the link in my signature. Are you allowed to share programs those without a license have made? If so, you could help put it in an online app store like the Windows Marketplace. You could also share one of the major GE developments in the Windows Marketplace.

Do you actually have the paid version for the Xbox, or do you have the free version through DreamSpark? Because the DreamSpark license doesn't let you submit games, it only allows Xbox access through the Xna Game Studio Connect game in the Xbox marketplace.

And I'm thinking about getting a Windows Marketplace license, if I can find out how much it costs.

You cant. I emailed Microsoft and they said you have to pay the $90 to submit games.

I would suppose so. But I don't know where the head developer is right now. He hasn't been on for a long time. But, I'll see what I can do for you. Are you good with Canvas?
