Hey all,
We have recently released our new double single, "Light Amidst the Fog"/"If We Never See the Light", both of which are part of the album which we shall release, eventually.
Give them a listen:
Light Amidst the Fog,
If We Never See the Light
I'm particularly proud of how the "A-side", "Light Amidst the Fog" came out. Diyath - our pianist - has done a great job writing the song, mixing it, and singing the vocal track. I recorded all the string instruments: Guitars and bass. The result was one very nice, mellow song which I hope you enjoy as much as we did c:
All comments and criticism are greatly appreciated.

I have to say, I owe a heck of a lot to Bastian as well; I definitely couldn't have pulled off all instruments in time given my work load at the moment, and it helps to have another co-operative band mate in a seemingly 'crisis' situation like this. It is remarkable that he managed to learn and record all string duties to Light Amidst the Fog about a week before the actual release. I love how the solo turned out, and hopefully this work can be kept up, with more input from the rest of the band.
On a side note, we already have another upcoming single release that has some input from the others and features a guitar solo 10x better than this one in my opinion, again by played by Bas!

Nice
A personal favourite of mine is Flashback. When will it be released?

It has been agreed that Flashback requires a lot more arrangements and improvements if it is to be recorded. Thus, a release date is uncertain.

Cool!
I love how you play the music and record it so nicely together

Isn't that what everyone does?

I think you could step up the chord progressions and work out repetition, and maybe mix the vocals a little louder, but otherwise it's fine.

lol, I think our songs have pretty good progressions (you should see some of our other work; even some of our upcoming work gets better). And I got feedback (and myself thought) that the vocals in Light Amidst the Fog were very loud?

I'm glad you guys are still active and pumping out music

In parts of that one, I thought they were; in others, they were a bit softer. In the other one, they're completely unintelligible.

Yeah, I wouldn't deny. Apple in-ears somehow always go bust in one ear; not completely, but my right one is a bit softer. It may appear to be OK on those when mixing, but on perfect headphones, that obviously is not the case.

Nah, I'm just listening on my computer speakers

How ironic, guess what was playing out of my winamp playlist (of about 130 songs) when I found this topic?
Your cover of "My Voice to You". xD
Anyway, both songs are excellent, they almost sound professional. The only complaint of any kind is that DIY needs a better mic (Though I imagine that the fuzziness of the sound in "If We Never See The Light" is intentional). That is a minor thing though.
Anyway, amazing overall.

I have heard it, it's all still in that range of progressions...

You know... Knowing that people actually listen to your stuff (even if it's a cover) casually makes you feel so accomplished as a musician. c': Thank you for your comments on the new singles, too

Haha lol, that is pretty amazing! Hope you keep your WinAmp playlist updated with our new releases and continue to support Frozen Coco!
Yes, 'If We Never See the Light' was recorded on probably the worst mic ever. xD iirc, that was during vacation, so I didn't have a great piano or mic either.
The piano on 'Light Amidst the Fog' though, is much more superior as it was initially recorded in my music gallery (where the set-up is great) for my solo career. Thanks for the feedback!

Well, look forward to more great songs in our future work like Blissful Rapture (which has the awesome solo I was talking about in post #2). There is only one way we go from here: Onwards and upwards!

Look for it now c: They were disabled on the tracks.

Still don't see them, but I used my own solution: taking the streaming mp3s out of Chrome's cache.

They were enabled and then later disabled, it seems.

This is peculiar, cos when I log out and sign in to another account, downloads are disabled for all tracks it seems that were released after the SoundCloud revamp. The same is for my solo account. Even the stats are glitchy; you'll notice that it appears for all the new tracks, but is hidden on all the old ones, unless you navigate to the track's designated page.

Yeah, it's an odd SoundCloud glitch, apparently. We'll try to sort it out.
Downloads should be enabled again now, in all of FC's tracks.
