CoolCat-Java implementation of Scratch

No real information so far; the project has just started. I'll probably work on it some after Ludum Dare this weekend.

PROGRESS BAR O' MAGIC:
[+++++-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------]

About 5%...ish
Currently working on the basic infrastructure of the compiler, as well as a file organization system that will allow for advanced and specific control over projects, more than in the official release of scratch.

Back. For now. Maybe.

Re: CoolCat-Java implementation of Scratch

I wish you good luck on this project. I will be looking forward to it being finished. I'm sure there can be greater improvements to the current Java Player to make it better.  smile

Re: CoolCat-Java implementation of Scratch

Zeroluck and I were making something very similar to this, upt to a pint where it was stable, called JBlocks we seemed to have stopped developing it about 6 or 7 months ago, so... Our SVN seems to have got a bit messed up, but you are still able to checkout the source and build it. If you are interested in our project please reply and I can email him...  smile

Re: CoolCat-Java implementation of Scratch

Good luck with this.  A lot of people have tried, and I don't think anyone's truly succeeded.  Maybe you'll be the first!  big_smile
